      Fading dreams

      Hi, long time no see.

I've haven't been working on my LD skills for months now, but seem to

have random LDs about once a month.

I've had about 6 LDs since I've joined this forum, and almost every time

the dream started to fade instantly after I become lucid.

(once I started running around killing people, and then I fell asleep, can't remember when I lost lucidity. I had very low control but was definately lucid)

This morning I had another LD, which started as a vivid dream, then I

naturally realized it was a dream. (none of the techniques worked for me
I just seem to realize it's a dream)

as soon as I became lucid, the dream started to fade again. I already

had LDs before, so I was very calm and everything, I just didn't understand

why my dream was fading. I immediately tried the hand rubbing thing,

and kept telling my self "this is a dream". but it didn't work. so I tried to

focus on something, but everything was kinda unclear. (not blurry, but unclear, with bright spots, the kind you see when your dizzy)

then I closed my eyes (BIG Mistake!) and tried to change the environment

when I opened my eyes I was in my room. But it still kinda felt like a dream

so I tried to change the environment again, and I saw a half-piece of a

red coat floating in the air. (I don't know why) and I woke up for good.

even spinning didn't work for me before.

maybe I should try the shouting thing. ("Super Lucidity!!!")

      see ya!

      Argg formatting!

      Anyway....
I relax concentrate on myself and let it fade then a new dreamscape usually develops. Its risky, but i find any of the other methods just make me wake up straight away.

When my dream is fading ill just stop and focus for a minute like meditation, its good to gather energy to your Third eye while dreaming, it supercharges the lucidy level.

I've found that rubbing my hands and spinning usually works, also verbal commands...try all of them if you must...but if I do find that I am losing lucidity I sometimes just let it happen and wake up knowing that when I fall back asleep I will be in another dream and automatically be lucid and can either pick up where I left off or go somewhere completely different. I can do this for hours...but only when napping during the day when I have nothing else to do sometimes I can have 5-6 lds in an hour during a nap. But at night I usually only have one or two and they are very hard to remember b/c I often don't wake up afterwards and I don't keep dream journals.
