When I say OBE I mean that it starts with consciously exiting my physical body directly after applying the induction procedure. That's at least how it appears to me.

I think that old man you were talking to was you Dream Guide. You should ask if he is you dream guide in your next lucid dream. If you do get to ask him, please post it on DV, I would really like to read what happens.
