      Cursed out loud while sleeping

Last night I decided to try to WILD because I was really sleepy, and it was like 1 am.
And I want into SP, and was about to enter a dream.
(I keep drolling) So I eventuly gave up, and I still couldent really move my left arm that grate after I was awake lol.
But anyways I went to sleep, but I ended up WILDing, (I gained consiousness).
Anyways I was lucid in my basement, and I was going to walk up stairs, but then my brother (in thedream) threw my down, and I felt SP in the dream, and I screamed "DAMN IT!!!" Then continues with the dream after I could move, and eventuly lost contiousness.
But I woke up to my parents real bad because I woke the whole house up to screaming a cuse word..
      anyone had this happen?

lol- yes, I have cursed out loud in my sleep before! Which humours people more than angers them because 1) I'm an adult 2) I usually don't curse so they laugh to hear such things come out of my mouth

I say "tartar sauce" a lot (thank you Sponge Bob *dripping sarcasm). I hated the thought that I could possibly fall to my death and say "Oh shit!" (as I'm sure many people do lol). So I started paying attention to what I say even when surprised or hurt (like stubing my toe). One day I was carrying a small fridge across the yard to my car and I tripped over a tree stump. I was pleased when I quoted Sponge Bob

Really really fast, with my parents right there, thay laughed in front of some adults, but after while thay had a "Talk" with me. lol..

Lol, i've heard my brother do this sometimes. Just lying there and randomly hear from the next room, "YOU FUCKER!"......"SHIT!" then back to sleep. Kinda annoying sometimes

If you were indeed paralyzed you couldn't have screamed out loud...

This has never happened to me before. My only experience with sleep talking is waking up to people screaming because they were having night terrors

I was curious so I looked it up:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somniloquy

Seems like it can happen in REM sleep due to a "motor breakthrough". I know my brother, my dad, my stepdad and my former room mate all talk a lot in their sleep. I have never been told I do by other people, but I have woken myself up by talking in my sleep on very rare occasions.

I don't see why being sleep paralyzed would stop a person from saying something out loud. My wife used to talk in her sleep many times. In full sleep in the middle of the night. In fact, I'll bet we all do it more than we know.

      Paralyzed. You can't move.

Sleep walking/talking. Not during REM sleep. Not going to happen if you are experiencing SP.

Shoes. Cars fast. Off work due to illness today. Don't understand choppy sentences!

Back up the boat here. What are you saying? I agree that being sleep paralyzed means you can't move. But you can still control facial muscles, such as eyes and mouth can't you? I think that's a pretty commonly accepted fact. But maybe I'm wrong.

And are you saying that sleep walking/talking does not happen during REM sleep? Hmmm. Interesting.

Your eyes and your diaphragm are the only parts of the body you are able to move during ISP.
And yea, they are associated with stages of sleep before REM, not REM itself. If you were moving around during REM, that'd be RBD.

I'm no expert on sleep paralysis but I think it depends on how "deep" into the paralysis you are. I say that because when I was younger and didn't know what it was I would sometimes wake up in SP. It scared me pretty bad then and I would try yelling for my mother only to produce whispered grunts until after several tries.

Well what happened to me??? I remember dreaming! And I remember in my dream my brother triped me! And I fell on the ground, and I had all these vibrations just likeelectricity, and I could not move in the dream. And in the dream dream I cursed real loud, and my brother heard it when he was in bed.
