      Flying to the moon

I had this really cool DILD/WILD last night. At the beginning of it, I saw the moon. It was so damn beautiful. I started to fly later on in the dream, but I never though of getting to the moon. But the next time IŽm LDing, IŽll do it!

Now, have you people ever flown to the moon/flown super high? Tell me how it felt and what happened

Deliberately doing any sort of action, often ends up turning into a game if I'm not careful.

Once upon a time I used to often use a rope on the moon, to swing across things in the dream.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

I flew to the moon once in a lucid dream! I got to run to work now, but later I'll read your Journal and comment and share.

      Dream on!

      That sounds awesome, Cloud. =0

I went to the moon once. Wasn't as fun as I thought it would be.

Sometime about 1989 I became lucid in a dream and found myself standing in the a field not far from my house. It was night, a clear starry sky and I saw the full moon.

This was what I call a "real time and place" lucid dream. Some might call it an OOBE, but I prefer to refer to all these experiences as dreaming, just some are lucid and some appear to closely resemble the time and location of my waking life. I'm not saying OBE's aren't real, I think they are, but I still say it's dreaming, just as I believe waking life is another level of dreaming.

As I was standing there in the dream I got the notion to fly to the moon. Now every time before when I tried to fly long distances to arrive at a place I would invariably wake up or lose lucidity before I got there. But this time amazingly I flew all the way to the moon. As I flew I watched the moon get bigger and bigger in my field of vision.

When I got to the moon I started flying around it to the back side. As I rounded the moon I noticed a Base of some kind on the surface. Just as I was arriving at the Base there was a space ship in the process of docking at the Base and something went wrong and it was crashing into the base.

Ignoring that I flew around to the back of the Base and flew through the roof and landed inside. I was well aware in the dream that I had already accomplished an amazing feat for me, to have traveled all that way without losing my dream attention. I walked through the corridors seeing no other people and concerned about how much longer I could stay in the dream... a little more of that and then I woke up.

So that's it. I never tried again to get to the moon. But it was cool.

I've flown into outer-space and I've fallen from outer-space, got caught by the Earth's gravitational pull and landed in the ocean. When I flew into space, I found myself in an area with floating asteroids. MOST of the time, there were no other planets to visit and no moon to fly to (although I could see the moon as being very large from the Earth's surface). I would end up in outer space, just kinda floating around... trying to grab onto rocks and whatnot.

Once flown to the moon, but it wasn't what I expected... considering that for some reason I had no control on my flying and ended going extremly high and fast, my stomach was hurting a lot by the time I hit the moon, then went down again and woke before reaching earth lol

I just woke up from a similar instance. I was laying in bed as I am now then did my habitual reality check of viewing my hands. I realized I was dreaming then looked out my window to perceive a beautiful orange and purple sky with an unusually large moon. I then flew toward it and it was indeed an amazing experience. The problem was that when I reached the surface I started to awaken, I attempted to spin but still lost it. =(

Very cool, I'm wondering, in the dream when you first saw the moon and thought to fly to it, were you remembering this thread on the dream forum?

Also how was the experience flying to the moon, did you experience flying the distance through space... or more just immediately arrive there?

      Thanks for sharing.
