      Second LD question...

Okay, first off, an LD is only as following, am I right?
Lucid Dream: A dream in which the dreamer is aware that she/he is dreaming.

Thats it. As long as you get that feeling that you are dreaming, you ARE lucid dreaming, right?
Last night I had my second LD (or what I believe to be an LD)
I did get the "Oh I'm dreaming!" feeling wash over me. I became excited, and the dream started to fade. So I calmed down and focused on something in the dream, and it stabilized.
Unfortunately, my dream recall is still bad, so I don't remember much.
I didn't want to do anything too extreme, in fear that I would wake myself up. (Which would really suck since it was only my second LD)
So i just kinda walked around, and checked everything out.
(I can't remember anything I looked at or touched or even where I was though)

But it was VERY unclear. Not vivid at all. When others talk about their LDs, they always say how vivid it is. But mine was the same sort of blurriness that you get in a regular dream.
So my question is, is the blurriness only a result of not having very much control and not being experienced in LD, or was I dreaming of lucid dreaming?

The lack of vividness is probably just your memory. Unless you remember thinking at the time, "Geez, this is really blurry," you probably just remember it as blurry. People often report their dreams becoming more and more vivid as they get more practice. Most likely, the dreams are vivid the entire time. They just learn to remember them more vividly.

Congrats on your 2nd Lucid Dream.

I just had one myself actually! lol. I know what you mean by having Lucid Dreams with blurriness. It is common when people first start out in lucid dreaming, but like Robot Butler said, with practice, you become better at it.

If you want to try to have a pretty good vivid LD. Next time when you realize you are dreaming, just stand there for a few seconds and let everything settle in. Take a moment to reflect; while everything is coming into focus, concentrate on your breathing to help calm yourself down. Once you feel everything is okay and focused, try to do whatever is on your mind!

Hopefully this has helped! Keep up the good work!

most people that have explained their LDs online have spent months/years recording all their dreams and therefore have great dream recall and vivid dreams. you seem kind of new, but natural at LDing. my guess is that give it more time, and keep recording dreams nightly, and you will be a regular LDer. with vivid dreams too....

Just do a lot of reseach on this website. every question you have, try to figure the answer out.

also work on memory skills. i recently started doing this, and it's following over to my dream worls as well! giving me more vivid dreams/recall

edit: oh yeah, good job by the way =P
