      You have to wonder

As I sat on my rug by my fireplace with my dog, I thought about dreaming. So I did a reality check. I looked around and looked out the window, everything was normal. I am telling you I was as awake as I feel right now........... I then woke up to find that I had just been dreaming.
Now I have had some vovid LD's before but I seriously question what is and what is not reality. DO I have to turn to using longer RC's? WoW it blew my mind. Yet it was awesome.
Lucid dreaming never stops amazing me.

      Yay!

You have broken through the barrier my friend! Now you have experienced first hand that waking and dreaming are one and the same.
There is no difference, only reality!

      Congrats! 8)

that is pretty cool, it's amazing to discover that you are dreaming, but experiencing a dream so believeable was probably an uplifting experience

To loosely quote something I've seen quoted so many times as to become cliche:

"Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that was so real...
what if you couldn't wake up from that dream...
how would you know the difference between your world, and the real world?"

I share the same concern regarding this reality bit. I had one where I pinched myself significantly, felt the pain, decided I was NOT dreaming, and then woke up. If you consider the difficulty some folks have at controlling LDs, then it serves to note its similarity to the difficulty in doing things like levitation and psychokinesis in the real world. Perhaps there are just tricks and mind states we don't know or have forgotten. One thing's for sure, no one can tell you where you came from, or where you're going afterward, so REALITY is subject to interpretation in my book. -Torch
