Well, this isn't so much the story of the dream itself, more like how I achieved the dream, which, to me, had always been a great deal more interesting, and a source of pride for me.
I was around... 9. I had no concept of lucid dreaming, or any induction techniques. I was simply trying to fall asleep one night, when I felt like I was floating away, still conscious. I realized that I was falling asleep. I had no idea what to expect, so I relaxed, simply enjoyed the ride... It was a beautiful experience.
After the floating sensation had begun, I saw a single picture floating in front of my eyes. Not HI, just a picture. It looked like a village, and was revolving slowly in front of my eyes. So, curious, I willed the picture to come closer. I fell into it, and all of a sudden, I was snapped into a dream. Never in my life had I experienced this, never have I again, no matter how hard I try. But I will say, that was one of the greatest dreams of my life. I spent all night reenacting Lord of the Rings.
Now that I am older and I understand Lucid dreams and WILD induction, I have been trying to recreate the circumstances. I have, so far, failed. And now I realize why.
Because I know what to expect.
In a WILD induction, do not expect, do not so much as twitch, simply... Go along for the ride. Then, once you appear in a dream, really make it last.
