      When I Was Small.. *Newbie*

I really wanted to control my dreams. I actually tried some of the methods listed here without realising it! I consentrated and said I wanted to do this, it was a dream, right? So why not try to control it?

I had -started- out maybe 2-3 lucid dreams, or, well, I had realised I was dreaming, then instantly tried to walk through walls or something. Yeah, I got excited and then instanly either lost lucidity or woke up. But I was small, and easily excitable, so I guess that's to be expected, eh?

Anyway. In one, I was at what was supposed to be my grandmother's house or something, but I recognised it was't her house at all, and found I was dreaming. I instantly started telling people I was dreaming and ran over to a wall and tried to walk through it ^^U I could only make it maybe an inch way through before I found it to be solid. Then promptly woke up.

Then, in another, I had spontaneously found I was dreaming, then tried to get my dog to grow wings. Yeah, I was something like 7 then.

I dont' think I can remember any more, so I'll leave it at this. Have any tips for me to try again?
      Heaven won't take me...
Hell is afraid I'll take over.

Just look around. There's a lot on this site so I'm sure you're bound to find something that works for you. The Tutorials are an excellent resource for new (or re-attempting) LDers so be sure to check those out. If you have any specific questions, feel free to post it or PM myself or one of the other Dream Guides and we'll try to help you out or refer you to someone/somewhere that can Thanks for joining!

BTW, those are some nice experiences. Personally, I found dream re-entry most useful before I came here. Now I don't have time to work with that as much but maybe some day. Sweet Lucid Dreams!

I know what you mean. I used to have dreams where I realized I was dreaming and run to my crush. As I grew older I started waking up easier because I knew it wasn't real and probably never would be. It's funny that I have finally found lucid dreaming and now I can have these dreams much more often. I used to have about one a month. Maybe more or less. Now I usually have at least one a week.
Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.
