Does being a heavy sleeper affect your chances of an LD

I am an extremely heavy sleeper, an atomic bomb couldn't wake me! and i think for some reason because of that it is affecting my LD's. I have had 3 dreams, all of which i realised was a dream and said to myself "this is a dream, but on one occasional, i fainted then woke up, probably got too excited, then the next 2 occasions, the dream just continued and i didnt become lucid. just curious if anyone else has experienced not becoming lucid when realising you're in a dream.

      many thanks

There's actually a thread called "Stupidest ways you've missed becoming lucid" and people talk about that in there

As for being a heavy sleeper, I don't think it matters because you'll still go into REM. I'm a heavy sleeper and have had fire alarms or earthquakes not wake me

Do you do RCs or recite mantras? Try those. Maybe check out the tutorial section. There's lots of different ways to become lucid, but may only be a few ways that help you. You just have to find what works

I would suggest working on your dream recall. When you wake up from a dream, write it down in a Dream Journal (DJ). Read through it now and then. Look for anythink that happens in your dreams consistantly. That is a Dream Sign. Now when you see your DS in the waking world, do an RC. Hopefully, you will do an RC in your dream when you see you DS

Again, lots of ways to become lucid, so it's up to you to find what works best, but I think anyone can LD
