      Instant LD?

Okay, so I had the weirdest thing happen to me last night.

It started off by waking up regularly around 5 or 6 to get some drink (This happens to me every night.). I went into my kitchen, poured me a cup of chocolate milk, drank it, the proceeded back to bed.

      This is the weird part.

Right as I put my head down on the pillow I entered a lucid dream, and I mean instantly.

I was in a grass field, and I knew I was in the dream.

Has anyone else had this happen?

The first time I became lucid this kind of happened to me, I stayed at a friends and had a terrible nights sleep.

Got back to my house and decided to sleep for a few hours. As i was falling asleep I instantly dreamt and shortly after became lucid. It's an odd experience

      Good to know.

This is a very rare experience, at least in my pov.

Has anyone else experienced this? and how many times?

Something similar, but not immidietly. About 3 minuets I was in bed, wasn't in SP (I could still move) and felt very awake. The next moment I was in my small kitchen, downstairs, with all my friends there, talking with eachother as if it's normal to be at my house at 11:36 pm (I checked my microwave's time XD)

I was like O_o. I did a reality check just in case. Then I was all 'Huh. Apparently I am dreaming.'

I had a night once, where the second I hit my head on the pillow I woke up in bed the morning after, it was as if the entire night never happened.

I can at least explain Harrow's experience.

Since you didn't get good/enough sleep your body missed out on its vital REM sleep. THe body makes up for this lost REM period at the next possible time, it's called a REM rebound and can happen several hours after the missed sleep.

And since you don't have to wait several hours before your first REM cycle (when you dream) you go directly into a dream WITH your logic center of the brain still active, creating a perfect chance to become lucid.

Hopes this clears things up a little.

Ha, I thought that might have been it. It seemed like the logical explanation. Didn't know it was called REM rebounding though. Well thanks to my friends lack of consideration for making me sleep on the floor, thats the reason I discovered lucid dreaming in the first place and why i'm exploring it further today!
