I joined this forum because I have started having lucid dreams. I recently got married, so I get up with my wife after 5-6 hours of sleep and hang out 30-90 minutes until she leaves, then go back to sleep for another hour or two. After some reading, I have learned this strange sleep pattern may be the reason for my sudden lucidity. I have become lucid in dreams several times before, but woke up from the excitement after 1-10 seconds. I have since had 3 lucid dreams ranging from 15-45 seconds. The trouble is now not that I wake up, but that I fall back into regular dreaming while trying to figure out what to do. In my first dream I was walking in a park and tripped, and when I was getting back up I realized "this isn't right, I think I'm dreaming" so I tried flying and started soaring around the park. I then got stuck wondering what to do with this new found lucidity, and drifted back into regular dreaming while trying to decide what awesome things I could do. This has happened two times since. The lucid task of the month is a great idea for a goal to keep me focused and lucid, but if anyone has a suggestion of something more meaningful (spiritual, scientific, etc.) that I can try on top of the monthly task I am very open to ideas.
