Thread: First time writing down LD right after it happened :)

I went to sleep a couple of hours ago for the first time tonight and went into sleep paralysis within an hour. Unfortunately I did not think about going lucid from it (I usually try.) Instead I tried to wake myself up. I was a little shooken, as I usually am after a sleep paralysis experience. I grabbed my laptop and went to DV for something to do while I got tired again. I probably looked around the site for about an hour. I figured after going to sleep, waking up, then staying up for an hour reading about LD’s I would probably have one, well I did


I was on a property that I lived on as a kid with the same log house and everything. I don’t remember how I became lucid. I walked outside to find my dad holding a bong (he doesn’t smoke in real life and I rarely do.) I asked him if he was smoking, he replied yes. I wanted to see how it would feel to smoke something in a dream, so I took it from him and took as big of hit as I could. I didn’t feel high or anything at all different from it. I don’t think i was thinking about the high when I took the hit, I think I just was more curious how it would feel to smoke something in a dream. After that I did something I have done in a few past LD’s. I grabbed a piece of paper and pen and asked my dad what the winning numbers for the next powerball drawing were. The last time I did this, I ended up with six 1’s ones written down, so I made sure and told him what the values of the numbers had to be. He started to say something, then told me he didn’t know. Then just as a test, I told him I was dreaming, and that he was nothing more then a dream character. He just kind of shrugged it off lol.. So I went outside to find my mom standing by her blue van (she actually just got a new car in real life, but she still had the old van in my dream) I asked her for the winning lottery numbers.. After this I only remember bits and pieces, but I remember running from something, then remembering reading that the task for the month was to summon and control fire. Well I turned around and there was something chasing me. I don’t remember quite what it was, but I remember trying to summon fire to fight back. I put my hands in a sort of dragonball Z way and tried to focus enough to produce some sort of fire, but nothing happened Then I believe I had a false awakening, but I don’t really remember. Anyways upon waking up I grabbed my laptop again and typed it out here! First LD in a week or two!
