I had a lucid dream but... something is off

So I've been trying to LD for months now, off and on. A while back I was getting really good with RC's and keeping a dream journal, but I slacked off until recently I picked it up again. Anyway, last night I was sleeping and then found myself awake. I assume this was because my dream just ended but I don't really know.
Anyway, I didn't move around much, and kept thinking about what i had just dreamed of. This is deild right? I had that thought in the back of my mind, but wasn't paying much attention to it or actually thinking "I want to try to LD right now." anyway, then I felt aware that my body was really heavy and tingly. This too was sort of outside my consciousness, I felt it, thought to myself, "is this SP?" but didn't really like.. whats the word.. "care" in a way. It was just like, "oh, my body is numb.."

I know everyone is always saying try to be passive with things like this, which is probably why this time it worked, kinda.

So anyway, now I'm back in the dream I was having before I woke up. I'm sort of standing there thinking to myself that this is a dream and I'm waiting for some feeling or some indication that i'm LDing. It does come, imagined or real, but I feel like I know its a dream. Unfortunately I didnt do any RC's, but the first thing I remember was needing to get back to some dream character i saw before because i knew she was up to something bad. This is sort of conflicting, no? I mean, Im lucid and i know im dreaming, yet I follow the "plot" of the dream even though it doesnt make sense. Is this normal? because im overly excited and nooby, the first thing I do is go and fly lol. It works and it's really fun but I quickly loose it and everything goes white.

Weirdly though, it picks up again in the same place, and I'm flying again and this guy is giving me pointers about LDing. And then in a different dream, im lucid AGAIN. So it felt like the whole rest of the night after that deild was lucid.. but lacking something. I guess control?

So what should I do next time im lucid? probably not try to fly right away...

I remember rubbing my hands together and everything, I dont think stabilization is my problem because i have 2 whole pages of notes on my dream while I was in this sort of lucid state. I guess it's more of gaining control and stuff, making it feel like a real lucid dream and not just one where im a passenger in my own head!
      so yeah, any tips/pointers/suggestions/personal stories?

      thanks for the help everyone

Thats what sorta happened to me too it was like i had to follow the dream plot. i for some reason couldnt fully control like teleport somewhere nicer instead i followed the plot and ocasionally changed some things to keep me from getting hurt, this was my first ld that was long. I was wondering how to have more control over the plot and stuff too without ''having" to follow the plot mine was pretty long too. I hope someone replys to you and gives us some pointers.
