    About Aurelie
    Biography:
My name is Aurelie Dominique Viatcza. I am twenty one years old and I love to read, write, sing, draw and dance. I'm very friendly and love conversing with people.

Unfortunately I am afflicted by reoccurring nightmares that I have had since I was fourteen. I am a natural lucid dreamer, but despite this I still have serious difficulty dispelling my nightmares. As a result I am an insomniac and frequently suffer from "daymares" as well. Hence why I am here!

    Butlers and random...

by Aurelie on 04-21-2012 at 07:32 PM
So strangely -I should say thankfully- I did not have the nightmares last night. I did however, have the oddest dream that included blood sucking -no I am not a vampire obsessive female- and running from people who wanted me to be like them. The dream was quite hazy and I will attribute that to the alcohol from a friend's barbecue that I went to.

I was attempting to flee from this groups of people whom I had no names for and now I cannot remember their faces. They wanted me to be like them I remembered thinking that being like them was boring. I unfortunately cannot remember what "being like them" entailed. I remembered running from them and a handsome man in a Burke outfit wearing a tail coat and everything like a Victorian era butler ran up an rescued me. In the dream I knew him and he was quite protective over me. He had told me I was losing strength and that I needed to recover it. He made a small incision on his neck and told me to drink which since he was handsome and I love English accents I obliged. I remember the people chasing us were freaking out about my doing so and then the butler fellow whisked me away. We made it to a playground where suddenly the booming bass of a terrible song woke me up. My neighbors suck.

I got about five hours of sleep which was fantastic for me. I got more rest than I usually did. I do not want to have to drink booze though every time I want to sleep as there has to be a better and healthier way. Besides, I don't fancy becoming an alcoholic all for the sake of sleep; no matter how lovely sleep is.

    Finally found sleep...

by Aurelie on 04-20-2012 at 06:25 PM
So after sixty four hours of being awake I finally managed to collapse and sleep for about six hours without dreaming early Thursday morning. Last night though, no such luck on not dreaming. Had to go to bed as early as possible for an interview the next morning. The nightmares were back.

Was exactly the same. I was running through the halls and I managed to realized I was dreaming. I felt the weird sensation like I am being squeezed through a bottle neck and strange vibrations all over my body and then I had lucidity. Instead of continuing to run around naked, I sat down in the middle of the corridor and just took deep breaths and tried to relax.

Something different happened. The voice I usually heat towards the end of my dream shouted angrily at me to run or he would kill me. I didn't talk back to it or try to hold a conversation with it. I merely smiled and ignored it while I tried to stay calm and relaxed sitting on the floor. Didn't work for long. No Eyes showed up and the other corpses like No Eyes broke through the floor. But instead of hearing the voice's disembodied laughing while they mauled me, I saw a shadow at the in the hall that I knew the laughter was coming from. I couldn't give any proof that it was the shadow figure laughing beyond that I just knew. Perhaps this is progress?

    38 hours and going...

by Aurelie on 04-18-2012 at 06:48 AM
So I woke up yesterday at about nine in the morning and I have been awake since. Despite my lack of sleep I'll be doing something and still have flashes of my nightmares. Earlier today I was typing away, working on a writing commission and I kept hearing the dry rustling, flesh on stone noise that I always hear when running down the halls in my nightmares. Thing is I was also home alone the whole day when this happened.

Not just audio hallucinations, but visual ones too. Shadows out of the corners of my eyes and catching a glimpse of a my face in a mirror. That catch about that is it looks like No Eyes' face instead of my for that split second. This is probably due to my lack of sleep and the high amount of stress right now in my life. Between my freelance writing and my portrait commissions I've been working my ass off looking for that fabled "real job" all my friends keep talking about.

Hopefully I will have more positive results to post when I am finally able to get to sleep. Getting to sleep though is the problem and once I am asleep I really don't get any rest. My buddy Todd told me to try sleeping pills again, but you can't even pay me to do that one. Last time I did that I still had the nightmares but couldn't wake myself up even once I had gained lucidity. At this rate I am hoping I just pass out and not dream of anything.

    The usual nightmare...

by Aurelie on 04-17-2012 at 07:20 AM
So I have never kept a dream journal before. Hopefully this helps in some way or another.

I woke up at about nine this morning after falling asleep at about five am. Usually when I manage to stay up that late and only get in four hours of sleep I don't dream at all, or at least I don't recall the dream. Yet, that wasn't the case, as I had the usual nightmare.

Running naked down a windowless and door-less hallway, I knew something was chasing me even though I couldn't see it. I always get the distinct impression that it's male. I ran and ran though the maze like hall till a sound stopped me like usual. It sounded like flesh scraping or rubbing up against hard stone. I was lucid this time and tried to change the nightmare by giving myself clothes which didn't work. Usually after I try to change one thing in the dream my pursuer catches me but this time I was able to try three things. I tried giving myself clothes, I tried to give myself a weapon -focused on a ball bat as it seemed simplest- and then I tried just shifting the scene outside. None of them worked and I would up getting caught by No Eyes.

No Eyes is a pale white gender-less corpse that is all twisted and contorted. It has eyes, only hollow pits. No nose and a ragged slash for a mouth as well as crooked rotting teeth. It never speaks, only hisses its breath between its teeth. Once No Eyes catches me it is always the same. I become hypnotized as it stares at me with it eyeless pits and hisses. Suddenly more corpses like No Eyes break through the ground beneath me. They are just like No Eyes, but they are not as maggot white and are considerably more decayed. They then proceed to eat me alive while I hear a male voice laughing from somewhere. Right as I am about to die, I woke up this time instead of cycling through the same nightmare more times.

Pretty gruesome. I've yet to figure out anything that I can do while lucid to stop the dream without triggering the climax of the nightmare.
