- Biography:
- Just a little bit about myself to start with: my name's Joel Charig, I'm English and I'm in the process of saving up to go travelling around the world for up to a year before I choose my dedicated choice of career.
I heard about the art of lucid dreaming while just generally surfing the internet, and happened to stumble across an article explaining what it was and the potential it has. I am very passionate about imagination and am frequently day-dreaming or engrossing myself in novels, films, TV shows or just the simplicity of my own inner thoughts and (wild) imagination.
I've always wanted to maximize the potential of my imagination through methods like making up stories with people, playing sandbox video-games (games in which you are given the tools to create your own world or objects, Minecraft for example) and have always wanted to write my own novel(s).
But when I heard of lucid dreaming, I became ever so fascinated by the concept; I could harness my imagination through lucid dreaming, it could save me when I really needed a break from the real world and needed to escape into my own, it could help me to understand myself more, help me to learn skills in the real world by trying them out in these dreams...I realised that the possibilities are literally endless!
So I have come to this site seeking advice, help on starting to lucid dream and when I have some experience on the matter, to share it with whoever I can, in whatever way possible.
I have never had a lucid dream, so hopefully I have come to the right place to finally change the way I view the world and the way I live!
If you want to talk to me, feel free to send me a PM or email.

I think I'll keep away from the supplements at the moment, as you said, I think it's down to habits and not "special" foods.
Oh okay! I'll try the site again then =)
I'm having consistent dreams...

I don't eat after I've had dinner, so I cannot do the apple experiment (apart from consuming juice) as eating in the evening is a bad habit - if no exercise is done after eating in the evening, the...

Are apples scientifically known to increase the vividness and dream recall? Because if not, it may just be a personal thing and I'm not quite sure it will work for everyone. Not saying it's not worth...

Yeah to be honest, I'm expecting to have a problem in this area at first. I think I won't be able to get back to sleep, or on the contrary (and more likely), I will be too tired to bother with SSILD...

Yes I agree! This is really rare for me, but I've now had three nights with memorable dreams in a row! Although I am slightly frustrated with this morning, as I woke up really early (my alarm was on...

Just read a detailed post about the SSILD technique and have decided that I'm going to try this tonight - looks like it could help massively! My only concern is that I may focus too much on the...

Okay cheers Bobblehat, will do so =)
And yes Joannna, that does make sense! I've just got to record dreams now and get the recall rate up to one dream a night now =)
The key thing for me now is to...
