    About Tristen
    Biography:
Hello, everyone. My name is Tristen Dulany. I am 20 years old and i just joined this forum in hopes of getting some help with my dream problem or maybe just being able to talk to some people that deal with the same thing. The dream I had last night was the final straw so I woke up this morning and immediately started trying to find some answers. This is my first REAL attempt at getting some help. If anyone has any advice or input, don't hesitate.

I have suffered with extreme nightmares, sleep walking/ talking/ screaming since I was four years old. I have been through such extreme cases that I have been hospitalized for lack of sleep. It appears to come in waves. It will happen for a certain length of time and go away. It will inevitably come back. The current wave of night terrors that I'm going through at the moment started sometime last year. It has been very constant and unwavering for the entire year. Before that, the last time I had nightmares was when I was 14. I thought I had cured it because it disappeared for 5 years. I CANNOT lucid dream, no matter how hard I try. My dreams are so realistic that I can't wake myself up from them and I NEVER know that I'm dreaming. I'm ready to be done with this for good..

    Creepy Doll

by Tristen on 07-08-2012 at 07:52 PM
I only remember a fragment of this nightmare. I must have been about 5 years old when I had it.

I was sitting in my room, alone. I had this cabbage patch doll in my hands and I was brushing it's hair and singing to it. I remember singing to it so it would be nice to me. I guess I had a feeling that the doll was evil and that it would attack me if I stepped out of line. I was telling it how pretty and nice it was and I noticed it start to move. It began to growl and it started shaking. It's growl turned into a scream and it tackled me down and started choking me. I grabbed the doll and threw it and then I woke up.

    Shawn the Sheep

by Tristen on 07-08-2012 at 10:42 AM
Okayy sooo... I've been trying to go lucid for quite some time now with absolutely no success. Last night I started to feel a little bit lucid and I could do some things in the dream, just not everything.

All I remember is being next to a stone wall, chasing around a sheep because it got out. It was a silly little booger as well. It would be walking and I run up to it and it would run a few steps away and baa-aa-aa-aa. I did this for quite some time until I finally realized I was dreaming. When I realized I was dreaming, I sat down and thought, "I don't need to catch that stupid sheep. What the hell am I even doing?" I started trying to think of all the things I could do and the I woke up. :/ baa-aa-aa-aaaaa

    A Trip to the Underworld

by Tristen on 07-07-2012 at 07:00 PM
This dream is extremely cool but it gets a little scattered in parts so bare with me..

It all starts with me deciding to take a trip to south Africa to help needy people. I remember wondering where i was going to get the money to do it in the dream. I was standing in front of all of my friends and family. Even some co workers were there. I asked everyone that wanted to go with me to raise their hands. One of my friends/ co workers raised her hand in excitement and I said she could go. We were both ecstatic and the next thing I knew we were on a one way flight to south Africa. There were alot of people on the plane getting off at our stop. The plane itself opened up and a white water slide flew out and we were expected to slide down it, straight into the middle of the jungle. I remember being angry that my bags were getting wet and being very unsure of the method of getting us to the jungle. I noticed the humidity straight away. I saw snakes in trees. I saw a crocodile in a lake in the distance. At the bottom of the slide there was a hungry tiger waiting to devour everyone that slid down it. I screamed for everyone to run back up the slide and there was a massive panic as we all started to scramble back up it. It was extremely difficult to try and manouver up the slippery, steep slide.

The dream breaks off into something seemingly unrelated but the two parts come together to almost make sense in the end.

I now have the point of view of a man in a masked red and black suit. He is riding down an endless highway in a convertible car. His peaceful ride is interrupted by the hulk smashing in the front of the car. He goes flying out and lands in the middle of the road. The hulk is accompanied by and evil woman. They both approach with an obvious agenda. The woman kneels down and demands for the man to hand over his right of passage. He insists that he lost it and she threatened to harm his family. He said he could get it back but the have to send him to the nether realm to get it. They had to kill him.

The next thing I remember is being in a very strange dimension. Everywhere was very dark. It seemed like the air around all the objects was dark red. You could only see dark shadows and silhouettes of everything. You couldn't see detail on anything until you were very close to it. It looked like an endless, red desert. It felt very lonely and desperate even. All of a sudden, the hulk came falling out of the sky and landed right in front of the man. He demanded that he take him to get the right of passage and that he was there to ensure that he came out with it. I don't remember how they got there or where they were exactly but they were somewhere on a hill in the underworld surrounded by large stone structures. In the middle of the stone hinge looking things, there was a platform with a ticket on it. I could tell it was the right of passage. The man took it and handed it over to the hulk and he left. The man was left there alone until... I came along to save the day!!! That's right. I was there too! (guess I didn't make it up the slide)

I noticed the man walking around and I somehow knew the way out of the underworld. I wanted to help and the next thing I know, the man and I are cruising through the underworld in a convertible, headed towards the exit. He was so ecstatic and he was thanking me over and over for helping him escape so he could go home to his family. He offered me the money to get home from Africa when I got out so I could go home to mine. We were driving towards a huge tornado looking portal when I woke up..

Left Alone in a Haunted Room

by Tristen on 07-06-2012 at 11:22 PM
This is a nightmare I had a few nights ago. My fiance woke me up and said that I was making strange noises. Usually when I do that, I'm trying to wake myself up.

I remember the dream starting while I was in an old house of mine. There were a few people there from my father's church. I don't really like church people. Anyway. Apparently, it was my job to watch over this one room until my stepmother got back from shopping. There were bunk beds in the room and a dresser, I think. Everyone left the house and I was the only one left. They told me that if I wasn't careful, that I could accidentally invoke demonic spirits while they were gone. They told that the house had been previously haunted. I waited for a little while and stood in the same spot in the room. After awhile of waiting for them to get back, I became more and more uneasy. There was a sense of eeriness flooding the house. I was alone but I felt like I was being watched. Then, out of nowhere, I hear a woman's voice calling my name. I didn't like that at all. It felt like there were tortured souls all over the house and their loneliness pulled on me and drug me down. There were lonely voices calling out to me from all directions and I felt like I was the one who had brought them in. Before I knew it, I was on the floor, on my back, screaming for help. No one could hear me and I couldn't wake myself up from the dream.

My fiance finally woke me up and said I had been struggling in my sleep and wheezing. Thank Christ he woke me. I don't know what was so scary about the dream but it smothered me.

    The first nightmare I remember

by Tristen on 07-06-2012 at 12:08 AM
I'm gonna call this my first nightmare! The nightmare that was the catalyst to my morbid fear of inanimate objects as a child..

I was with my family in the dream. My mother, father and brother were there with me in the empty apartment sleeping on the floor. The place had absolutely no furniture and was completely barren. I was trying to sleep when I heard a faint howling sound. The sound persisted so I went to investigate. What I found would scar me forever... I found a little, two dimensional, stuffed, blue and purple dog... howling.. It was in a plastic bag and it was howling.. I woke from the dream screaming my head off. From then on we would always remember what my four year old self called, "The little sewed up doggy."
