...And it was a nightmare. Great.

Anyways, in this dream it was nighttime, but there were street lights and some lights from other buildings casting shadows on things. I was flying from the balcony of an apartment building and coasting over some trees. The buildings were situated a few hundred feet from an ocean - from a distance, the water looked normal. I was flying, slowly going downwards, towards the shore.

I flew for a few moments and then passed a very tall traffic light, probably a few hundred feet above the ground. There was a squirrel standing on it. It jumped onto my right hand, moving rather quickly and not meeting air resistance at all. Then it proceeded to knaw on my finger - again, quickly. I could tell from its eyes that it was looking at me intently. It continued to knaw and I didn't feel pain or see blood, but just soreness and I could also feel its teeth digging into me.

I tried to pull it off with my other hand, still flying normally, and it pulled on my hand which hurt. I then took its head and twisted it, breaking it. This was thoroughly disturbing to me, even in the dream. I pulled the dead squirrel off and threw it away. A few seconds later, I passed a tree, and two squirrels leapt onto my same hand and proceeded to knaw on it. Again they didn't come off when I tried to yank on them. So, this time, I crushed their heads and threw them away into the air.

Freaking out, I passed one last tree and saw at least five of them, waiting intently as I passed. I then felt air behind me as I flew by, almost on the ground now, and turned my head around - they tried to jump onto me, but just missed me.

I landed on the shore of the ocean, and they were running extremely fast after me. I looked at the ocean and the water was now extremely light and tan with dirt and mud. I looked back one more time, held my breath, and ran into the water, not coming back up for air.

Again, I was thoroughly disturbed. After learning about reality checking, when I wake up from a nightmare I just do a reality check to make sure I'm not dreaming. But after waking from this one, I did like fifty because I was pretty scared.

Just wanted to share that dream.
