My dreams are usually rather varied, in rare cases I've had dreams recur rarely and irregularly before, that's all, but there's one theme that keeps popping up.
I often have dreams in which I'm going somewhere and possibly meeting up with somebody, but I just can't seem to get there. They mostly occur in my hometown (or any "normal" place in this world).
As public transport is my primary transportation method in real life, parts of my dream "odysseys" are often missing a train (or two), missing a stop, getting off at one stop and then missing the next train, etc. I notice that time keeps advancing, get increasingly uncomfortable/anxious, and may even get slightly lost wandering around (as I live in a big city and do have a phone, this isn't exactly life-threatening, it just means time's running out and it's getting harder to reach my destination). Sometimes I get calls asking where I am, worsening the situation, sometimes my destination changes / meet gets rearranged.
I'm a high school student, don't get around too often, so I don't know the city that well and when I do go out, it's not that rare for me to "get lost" (in time) in a similar way in real life (happens less often than those dreams though, and they tend to contain unrealistic/illogical arrangements, time constraints and things preventing me from getting there).
Both in dreams and in real life it just causes me some slight discomfort (more so in dreams obviously, but far from nightmarish), so it's not such a big issue for me (in fact, I'm trying to become wary of these situations as a dream sign ). And that makes it all the more strange to me why I'd actually have dreams about something as trivial as THAT. You guys got any ideas?
