Scariest nightmares that I remember =/

One nightmare that I clearly remember is about a shadow man. I woke up and I couldn't move and inch. I suddenly heard my door open but I made sure it was locked before going to sleep. When the door opened, I notice a man standing there from the corner of my eyes. Then I heard footsteps and I could feel it breathing next to me. And as soon as he touched me I woke up. My other nightmare was about killer stuffed animals. Haha weird I know but it scared the crap out of me. I had this dream, well more like nightmare, where there was this ghost on top of me. Then I woke up and saw one of my stuffed animals standing there. I thought I dropped it there so I picked it up and placed it on my table. Right before I turned around it jumped at me attacked me. Then I ran to my sisters room next door and saw that one of her stuffed animals was standing right next to her on the bed so I kicked it and woke her up. We both left her room and saw that more stuffed animals were there and some of them carrying weapons. We both and got separated somehow and I was face to face with a teddy bear holding a small axe. It swang at me and hit my leg then it hit me again and kept hitting me until I woke up. Anyone know why I had those nightmares or what they ment?

Sounds like a typical nightmare to me. There doesn't seem like there's enough content for it to really mean anything significant, just your mind exercising scary thoughts. Unless you have a fear of, say, someone breaking into your house? I had this dream, well more like nightmare, where there was this ghost on top of me. Then I woke up and saw one of my stuffed animals standing there. I thought I dropped it there so I picked it up and placed it on my table. Right before I turned around it jumped at me attacked me. Then I ran to my sisters room next door and saw that one of her stuffed animals was standing right next to her on the bed so I kicked it and woke her up. It swang at me and hit my leg then it hit me again and kept hitting me until I woke up. Sounds like a disturbing version of Toy Story! The fact that they're toys could be completely arbitrary, unless of course you're having issues with your childhood/growing older? I think the fact that you went into your sister's room stands out. Is she younger? And how did you feel when you got separated? Perhaps you feel responsible for her safety (especially if she's younger), and you're worried about letting her down in some way.

I have no fear whatsoever. My sister is 4 years older and she can take care of herself. I was more worried about myself than her (selfish? I know =p) I don't remember anything from when I was young maybe thats a factor?

In that case it doesn't seem like it meant anything significant, though I would have thought you'd still have some sense of responsibility if your sister's only 4. My sister's only 2 years younger than me and even I feel like I'm tasked with protecting her.
