      Unhappy In need of some explination - a recurring nightmare

      Hi guys,

      I'm wondering if someone can help me make sense of my nightmare(tough job I know).

      I have been having this terrible nightmare for as long a I can remember, and I still have no idea why.
      It started out as the dream but as it progessed it began haunting my waking thoughts.

      There are two sections to this dream;
      Firstly the visual terror, I see static, like black and white TV static. This isn't just like I am watching a TV, it encases my entire sightline, periferals as well. the definition in which I see the pixels change as well, it can be extremely hidh where I can barely see the individual pixels just streams of black and white flashing and it can be so close that I can see about 4-6 massive squares oscilating between black and white, and anywhere in between changing completely randomly.

      Secondly, The aural dread: All I hear, with no origin to speak of, are voices. A mess of male and female. Some are shouting, some are screaming some are loud, some are quiet, some are crystal clear and some are muffled, however I can never make out a thing that they say, ever.

      This nightmare has been happening so long however I always feel the same, I always end up terrified, distraught and wide-eyed till dawn, my heart sinks and my chest pains. I am left feeling like this with the dream still occupying my evey thought.

      I anyone has anythoughts, please I need to make sense of this at least enough to know how to ignore it or better yet stop it happening.

      It sounds to me like your mind is cluttered. This is what I do before I go to sleep every night. I'll sit on my bed with a pair of headphones and play either some Sitar music or some soft piano like Chopin. I'll sit and listen to this music while meditating. My meditation is about 10-13 minutes. I start out by closing my eyes and putting my hands on my head and working downward, feeling the bone structure for my eyes, nose, jaw etc. I work on my shoulders and down my arms to the tips of my fingers. After that, I lean forward and feel each lump of my spine all the way down to my tailbone. Then, I will feel each one of my ribs. I'll then work on my legs. Starting with my thighs all the way down to my toes. This is over the course of the first 5-6 minutes. After you've complete that, take the rest of the time, or as long as you please, to listen to the music and just breathe. Clear your thoughts and let everything calm down. I hope this helps

      Do you have any interpretation that you have concluded?
      Also have you tried facing it in anyway, whether it's through waking life or in dreams?

      What do you think it means? Usually you as the person dreaming are the one best able to figure out what it means. When you think about it, what do you usually think about? Does it bring up any specific fears you have?
