It sounds to me like your mind is cluttered. This is what I do before I go to sleep every night. I'll sit on my bed with a pair of headphones and play either some Sitar music or some soft piano like Chopin. I'll sit and listen to this music while meditating. My meditation is about 10-13 minutes. I start out by closing my eyes and putting my hands on my head and working downward, feeling the bone structure for my eyes, nose, jaw etc. I work on my shoulders and down my arms to the tips of my fingers. After that, I lean forward and feel each lump of my spine all the way down to my tailbone. Then, I will feel each one of my ribs. I'll then work on my legs. Starting with my thighs all the way down to my toes. This is over the course of the first 5-6 minutes. After you've complete that, take the rest of the time, or as long as you please, to listen to the music and just breathe. Clear your thoughts and let everything calm down. I hope this helps |
