Thread: Strange reocurring nightmare I used to have

I was thinking 'once all 5 lights light up, then you fall asleep instantly, and once you wake up, it makes you fall back asleep again'
and suddenly the 5th one lit up. I tried really hard to stay awake, but I ended up falling asleep (in my dream) and woke up in real life.
That dream scared the crap out of me for whatever reason, but that's not even the bad part.
I had a reocurrance of that dream every month or so. It wasn't the exact same thing, like in one dream i was at my friends house looking at their yugioh cards [dam yugioh...] and It happened again. A third time I dreamt that every month or so I have to have that dream, and the month was up, and for some reason I was hoping for it to be a 'regular' one, as if there's ones that are worse.
The reoccuring nightmares wouldnt go away for like a year, and I was still pretty freaked about it for another year. I've forgotten about it for a while, and it doesn't scare me anymore. But can someone tell me why I could of had those dreams or what they mean?

Simple things first. I find that falling asleep in dreams is quite normal when waking in real life. Kind of signifies the end of control of the dreamer and the re-starting of the ego.

The numbers are interesting. Sounds like 5 is a meaningful number for you. Do you have any particular feelings about the number 5? I note it was the age you emigrated so one possible meaning could refer to trauma associated with that time of life? The presence of hebrew letters maybe suggests a link there too.

Whatever it is, it will be a meaning specific to you. Don't take my suggestion lightly. Play around with ideas and note especially what you're trying to avoid thinking about.

If I were you I would try different things when you see the lights, just to see what happens,

For example:

-Fall asleep before the 5 light
-Turn another light off
-Shout "pomym!"


And above all, don't fear the 5th light!
