That does sound like a pretty bad nightmare. I sounds like you were still half asleep, but just didn't realize it. Honestly your dream reminds me of the movie Donnie Darko. In fact the movie is coming out with a sequel soon on dvd called S. Darko. I have dreams/nightmares about tvs often. To me TVs act as portals within dreams and how the environment around the TV is effected represents what type of vibe the TV is projecting. Sometimes it can be good and other times it can be evil. You actually see this theme in movies like "The Poltergeist" where the little girl becomes trapped in the TV and "The Ring" where the dead little girl haunts the video tape. In the movie "The Ring" you see the concept I'm talking about most clearly. Anyone who watches the video tape is killed by the dead psychic little girl. In a way their reality is warped by watching the video. I think the omens in your dream are illustrating that bad vibes were coming out of the TV in your dream. Signs like the garbled text and the fact that you couldn't see the images on the tv suggest that your reality is being reorganized. In my own dreams, the fact that portions of the image weren't coming through usually means that the tv or some other force was trying to filter out the bad vibes and prevent them from reaching you, but some of those bad vibes still managed to seep through. You said there was something weird about the girl and you weren't sure if you should be afraid. If your dream was my dream, I would surmise that somehow the bad vibes streaming from the TV was also altering the nature of the girl. It's possible your mixed feelings represent the idea that the girl initially was good, but the bad vibes are making her turn evil. It's possible she was teeter tottering between the fine line between good and evil. I have this theory that spirits animate everything in our universe. They make the wind blow and they move the photons of light through the air. They even move us. Good spirits move good vibes and evil spirits move evil vibes. The presence of the 'demon' in your dream could be a manifestation of the evil vibes coming out of your tv. It's possible the evil spirit was trying to penetrate you and take possession of you (and I mean this in a metaphorical sense not necessarily in a literal sense). For example, in the movie 'The Ring' (which I think is based on a dream) anyone who watched the video essentially became possessed by the evil spirits being projected by the dead psychic little girl inhabiting the video. I believe everyone has the power of creation. It's a God given gift. When a evil spirit takes possession of a part of you they also take a part of your ability to create and use it against you. I'm not talking about "The Exorcist" type possession. More like the possession you see in the movie "The Ring". It's subtle, but you don't realize your being effected unless your paying attention. This could be your dreams way of grabbing your attention. In a way, it's like the idea of eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. In the Kabbalic version of the story of Garden of Eden it is said that Adam and Eve didn't leave the Garden, but instead the fruit altered how Adam and Eve perceived reality. In essence they too were taken possession of by the evil spirits in the forbidden fruit. In their case, the evil spirit was being carried by the sense of taste in the story of the Garden of Eden instead of being carried on the sense of Sound and Light. In essence all the senses, sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch act as doorways into the soul (or maybe windows). So when I'm talking about vibes I'm really talking about all sensory info, including the 5 senses and beyond. How you focus your consciousness determines whether you open those doorways to good or evil or whether you close them to good and evil spirits. In essence the demon in your dream might have been trying to force you to open your consciousness to evil by digging into your eyes and/or face. That's where the common saying see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil comes from. By not sensing evil you close your senses to evil you prevent it from taking possession of you. If you don't know evil then you can't practice evil. In one dream an angel told me that "to know evil is to become evil". To extend that, sensing evil causes you to know evil. In truth, all those movies like The Ring revolve around this theme. Movies like 'One Missed Call', 'Pulse', 'Shutter', and I'm sure there are others. They might seem to be the same on the surface, but each has it's own lesson. For example, One Missed Call teaches that the only way to fight and evil spirit is with a good spirit as represented by the deceased mother of the little girl. Simply put the dream is telling you not to eat the forbidden fruit or in your case, not to watch the forbidden fruit. Now you can take this literally, but I think the dream is trying to tell you not to understand evil. Nothing good can come from knowledge of evil because knowledge of evil is knowledge of deception, death, destruction, impurity etc. It's the low road that'll drag evil the most innocent souls down.
