The Dark Dimension

This is a dream theme that repeats about twice a month for me. Sometimes more, but always at least twice a month. I have a false awakening. I never think to do a reality check here even though I have been trying to do one every time I wake up. I am in my bedroom and I come out into the living area of my apartment. My dog is there and looks normal. Everything looks normal until I open the door to leave my apartment. Then I find out that the rest of my apartment building and the area around it looks like something out of Silent Hill! Everything is run-down and covered with a thick fog. There aren't any weird monsters like in Silent Hill, but the setting is still very disturbing. I don't play Silent Hill - I just know about it from my friend. Any idea why this would happen? Seth

sounds like AP. AP? As in astral projection? I thought that when astral projecting I was supposed to see the world as it really is, not some twisted Silent Hill version. I've never astral projecte before. I've never even tried it. How can I tell if I am doing AP? Seth

That's weird. Might be a dream. Might be OBE. But there is a case in OBE/AP in which opening a door cause you to be transported to another dimension/world. What happens after you saw the area? Have you awaken?

I've never even tried it. How can I tell if I am doing AP? Seth Oftentimes it starts out with a false awakening, but not always. The world looks very realistic, but you may also see the astral plane layered over it. If you have dreams of walking around or flying around your neighborhood at night, in a pretty realistic setting, it's probably AP.
