      Alright this has just been bugging me so bad recently. I feel bad for people that think that there lives are perfect in every manner. Its like everyone have a different perception on life and no ones is the same.

      An example: There is a girl we will call her X and a boy we will call z. Now x is in complete love with z but z doesnt care about x at all.

      Or when you go sooo far out of your way to have this idealistic relationship but you are getting hurt so bad without even seeing it. Or maybe you see it but you dont care ass long as you are happy.

      It just bugs me when some people think things are perfect but from an outside view it looks horrible.

      PS this goes far beyond relationships i just used them as an example

      I've gotten this in the past but directed at me. People would tell me I had it made, perfect guy, home, everything. To them my life seemed perfect. To me it was lacking and no where near the life I'd imagined for myself. Made me wonder if maybe I DID have the perfect life and was just too stupid to realize it.


      Perfection is in the eye of the beholder?

      i might say that there are 3 meanings to the word perfect:

      1. which is complete — which contains all the requisite parts;

      2. which is so good that nothing of the kind could be better;

      3. which has attained its purpose.

      so... if people find a life complete when you're married, have a home, and everything, then in their eyes, it'd be perfect...

      right?

      I'd tell Plato to invest in some bifocals.

      Seriously though, yeah, all of Cryodragoon's points seem to equate to perfection. But around here the idea of the perfect life is having a lovely home, a job and a spouse who doesn't binge booze or beat the crap out of you every other weekend. Yes. That's 'their' idea of the perfect life. I was living their perfect life which would, in a way, make it perfection I suppose.

      As long as your happy who really cares? The perfect life is one that makes you happy.

      As for what the others are talking about. I think thats the old, "the grass is always greener" thing. No matter what you have you always want more. To be honest the first way is a lot better. Better to have a horrible life that your happy with than the "perfect" life where you always want more.
