That's an interesting point, I never thought of that. Hmmm...

Anyway, in one of Dan Brown's books (Angels and Demons, I think, he's the guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code) there are these scientists who have created anti matter. In the book (I'm not sure if it's true, haven't read up much on it) they create it via a particle accelerator. When the particles collide they make a Little Bang and from the resulting mini-explosion thingy matter and anti-matter are created, which destroy each other on contact.

Also, if you do a bit of research on event horizons and black holes, there are some theories regarding anti-matter being released at the event horizon of black holes, and the correlates to why black holes don't increase infinitely in size (or vice versa, can't quite remember).

So ya, with that technology, I think it is possible that at some point we'd be able to create a universe. I don't know how big, or what the ramifications would be, though.
