Thread: Let A Close Friend Or 10 Others die?

I don't care. I just use friends any way because they might be able to give me something at some point. I only care about myself. It's all about ME!!!!!! This is MY world!!!!!!!!

i clicked a close friend... but that's a mistake

i didn't read the first post, and assumed it would be "who would you let live"

so, naturallly, i'd let a close friend live...

untill i read the first post... and i realised... i had just killed my best friend :'(

That is how human nature (sub-consciously) works, yes. Some people repress it partially, like suicide bombers.

Suicide bombers are total losers who have given up on life and only care about looking good after they die and banging lots of virgins. They are the most "me first" people in the world.

I think they are doing it more for Allah then for themselves actually.

Well, thousands of people die every day, so 10 really isn't that much more.

i assume it doenst occur to you that most suicide bombers are manipulated by those in higher postions and sculpted by their surroundings, the injstices surrounding them. I am not deifneding there actions, I'm merely saying that your interpretation s awful, msot of them havent given up on life but are young misguided people, being maniopual;ted into channeling the rage that they feel i nthe wrong ways.

I agree with Imran. Just horrible situations like now in palastine mixed with the real influential bad-asses that use religion as a tool, That is what pushes people to something as crazy as suicide bombing.

You really should change the title of this topic. I also voted for "close friend" without reading your post.

Anyway, I would let the 10 people die before the friend b/c I would actually know the friend whereas the deaths of the other people would mean nothing to me. Well, maybe not nothing, but they would mean a LOT less to me than my friend's life.

My answer ver much depends on which of the friends that dies. I guess that Ten people in the long run does not matter, but on the other hand nither does your friend in that case. I guess if we all picked the ten chances are that we would be one of them. that means my choice is
Close Friend.

I didn't know it was possible for regular members to change topic names of any topics. But now the name has been changed.

I expect most of us (including me) would like to think that we would be the 'humanitarian' and save the 10 strangers, since they are as deserving of life as a close friend. In the actual event though, we would probably choose our friends.
As stalin said "One man's death is a tragedy, one million is a statistic". It would be harder to identify with a bunch of random people than someone you've known all your life.

10 others. People die all the time, I don't know them and it therefore does not effect me. Call me what you will but the death of ten strangers? Oh well. The death of a friend? Avoid at all costs (even 10 strangers lives)

I would ahve a close friend live. We have friends for one reason, they help us or give us something in return. Why should you care about ten people you dont know? How will that spark further advancement in your life? I mean, I know its important to respect life as it is,but ten souls isn't going to make any more differense then one.

I'd stop breathing until I'd die! LOOOL

10 others definitely. I wouldn't know them, it wouldn't interfere with my life. I have very few Close friends, three tops.

exactly. Theres nothing like having a friend who completely understands you.

As much as I would hate to lose a close friend, I couldn't stand knowing for the rest of my life that I let 10 people die ultimately for my own benefit.
