There is never absolute proof of anything, anywhere. You should also keep in mind that the government believes that they can win a war on drugs or terror. Of all authorities to appeal to, the government is not really the best

I didn't find much, actually. Apparently he was a big religious figure in Spain? I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on him yourself. And what do double-blinded tests have to do with anything? You blind tests so that neither the administrators nor the subjects can subconsciously be influenced by knowledge of the treatments administered.

I won't ask you for proof, obviously, but let me ask you this - why does this concept jive with you more than any of the myriad of others out there? What about Valhalla, Heaven, Nirvana, any of that? They all seem equally likely to me.

My question is aimed at getting you to choose; seperation or unity, love or fear, "service of self" or "service of other selves".
Raping people is not wrong unless you feel bad about it.
Yes, I know exactly how terrible that sounds. The thing is, I don't believe in objective morality, I think it is a purely subjective affair. The opinions I've expressed against rape, murder, etc. are simply that - opinions. They have no objective value.
When you say 'service of other selves', you could rephrase that as 'service to other selves because it makes you feel good' - so it's really just 'service to self'. We are selfish creatures, and our conscious decisions always reflect our best interests, I think.
