I don't understand. Your saying god is human & his a lucid dreamer who lost his lucidity? So all the humans on the earth are not really here? Can sombody please explain this to me? My head hurts |

Entertaining theory. You brought the criticism upon yourself though. |

Congratz, you just described philosophy! |

I stomp on your ideas.
I kinda like this idea. Once we all realize that we are God we will have true lucidity in life. It's a good metaphor at least. |

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

I agree with this. This topic is just silly. What if god is an invisible leprechaun in my pants, and it dictates that the only sin in existence is believing this topic isn't complete humbug. Philosophy follows the rules of science, and you can't just make stuff up and present it as a theory that is likely to be true. Just because it sounds nice, sentences like "Ohh god dreaming the world" "oohhhh trees have feelings too" "Ohhh stars write out our destiny", doesn't mean they are anything more then complete nonsense. Fine if you enjoy that kind of thing, but it isn't going to become a serious discussion if you have no more reasons to believe it than to believe in the existence of tooth fairies. Discuss this stuff in 'beyond dreaming', 'Religion & Spiritually' or 'lounge'. That's what this topic is, loungy, non-scientific, non-logical, funny-sounding, words in such a order they sound nice to your ears. Or we could talk about how giant unicorns actually control this world by drawing it on magical napkins while waiting for their magical ham and eggs at a magical breakfast restaurant. |

Why do people who don't even want to discuss the topic keep posting? I think it's an interesting idea, and thats what it was posed as. I think the idea makes sense in some ways. Like the fact that most people go through their life unconsciously for the most part, If they were to become fully aware, it would like attaining lucidity in many ways. Just because an idea doesn't work out perfectly doesn't mean you can't discuss it seriously. |

I agree. But do you think that God can "wake up" in the traditional sense? I think that part is more metaphorical, but I don't know. |

Maybe the world vanishes when he wakes up...maybe it'll continue to exist untill he returns, or dies in his 'real life'. |

No, I don't see God as human, so he can't wake up or anything. I just think that the workings of the universe are very much like how our minds work and dream. As above, so below. It is as if the whole universe is reflected inside our minds.. |
