      SuperGod

God is so absolutely phenomenal. He's so incredibly complex, powerful, and beautiful. There is no way something that great just happened by itself. Somebody had to have created him. He had to have been created by a SuperGod. Therefore, SuperGod exists. By the same logic, UltraSuperGod exists. Etc.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

Well, what of the Hindus who have always insisted that the Universe and God are eternal. Indeed, I would challenge you to find any Theologian in the world who would admit that there could be any Time before either God or the Universe. You see, Eternity not only implies that there will never be an End to time, but also no beginning.

so, to decide whether your tongue in cheek argument had actually scored any points, you would have to find a Religionist anywhere in the World who does not abide by the principle of Divine Eternity. Good luck, but you might find that your arguement is funny only because it is ridiculous.

And everybody knows a theologian is always right...

I'm a pretty tolerant person. I try hard to respect other peoples decisions to choose what they want to believe in. I am however geing a little disturbed about the newest outbreak of Christian Bashing. I know some are just doing it to get a little poke at Leo Volont , however he is not the only Christian in the forum. It is becoming highly frustrating coming onto DV and having so many God bashing topics in my face in the recent topic lists. I don't need to justify my religion to anyone. I however would kindly ask that some of these topics possibly be linked together in the same threads. I'm all for freedom of speech and everyone is intitled to say what they want but please can we not make it completely uncomfortable for some of us. Thank you for you time!

It's about debate, which is something Boris has yet to prove he is capable of engaging in. My point is a legitimate debate analogy. And everybody had to sign up to use this forum, with full warning of what goes on in it. Enjoy.

And Leo, the universe has just always been.

Oh, the irony! Coming from a thiest grouped with those who've said "if evolution existed, we'd have turn signals sprouting from our heads," "evolution doesn't make sense... if evolution existed then why are there still monkeys in the world," as well as some other crazy theories about why evolution is wrong.

Universal using the same logic as intelligent design does (something is too complicated>must be a creator) is not "misunderstanding" in the least... and by saying it is it just goes to show that you want to avoid being caught up in contradictions and dead-ends in your argument. You seem to be getting sick of making up excuses, aren't you?

Read a bit closer... I didn't say you said, or agreed, with it. I said you have the same understanding of evolution as the people who have said that (you are grouped, in regards to your understanding of science, with them). Arn't [sic] you smart.

This is just another way of proposing the infinite properties of cause and effect. But Universal, you seem to often post sarcastic responses to Christianity, you can't tell me you aren't the least bit bitter about religious beliefs. Or at least believe they've hurt you in some way, otherwise you wouldn't be continually venting out about them.

It's just as hilarious to bash christians as to bash handicapped people.

      I rest my case.

I am grouped with them? What you quoted has nothing to do with what I understand of evolution. You can't label me with your understanding. You certainly can't group me into a belief system that you decide I am in. Unless ofcourse your spiritually handicapped and don't know any better

      It's hilarious.

I mean who doesn't like timmy from south park? Or the scene from family guy when Joe, the guy in the wheelchair can't get up the stairs to the beer factory and little oompa-loompa's kick him in the nuts and send him away? That's hilarious.

It's not funny to bash handicapped people. Its not funny to bash your kids. Its not funny to bash anyone.

people who think it is funny. um, seriously what is wrong with you.

Raz is right cartoons are not reality. Maybe its hard for some people to tell the difference. Even worse. Maybe the cartoons actually are influencing you in some way to behave like this. I doubt it and I hope not.

The fun part is that you people make bashing on handicapped people funny. Not like I really hate them, it's just funny becouse it's so 'obscene' and 'not-done' to make fun of handicapped people. Same goes for most jokes about black people, vegeterians and relgions.

      'You must respect everyone's relgion!'

      lolno. Fags.

For instance, bashing on metrosexuals isn't fun, becouse it's so socially accepted.

LOLOLOLOLOL that's funny. It really was. That is the point. Not actually doing it, but talking about it like that It wouldn't be fun if I kicked him in the nuts becouse 'well, he was sitting on my chair'. That isn't funny. Beating up christian handicapped people is. Aslong as you restrick it with 26 little things, aka, keep it in words. Don't actually do it. That wouldn't be fun. Actually beating up handicapped people is kind of sad. However, it's fun to say: 'lol push that handicapped person off the stairs, lol'. It's not expected anyone will take it serious aswell btw.

Anyhow, negative publicity doesn't exist in politics and on the internet. So why don't you 'bash' at me. Like boris. He's acting like an idiot, and he knows it, but everyone keeps telling him and each other he's an idiot. So now more people know him then if he was just another dude to lazy to get a FUCKING AVATAR ^__^

I think satire is a great way of making points, especially when just proposing arguments and asking for counter arguments gets no response. My satire illustrates the illogic of the intelligent design argument, and it involves a taunt nature that increases the likelihood that people will finally argue back instead of going off on tangents about how I am being offensive and so forth. Such responses are so incredibly weak and unhelpful. I do have bitterness toward Christianity, and a lot of Christians, but not all Christians. There are some very good Christians out there. I even think there are some who use this web site. If they don't want to engage in debate about something they think is all about faith, that's understandable. As for my comments in this forum, I mainly wish that the Christians who choose to use this particular forum would explain things instead of merely bashing those of us who try to get them to do so. In this thread, have you seen even ONE actual counter argument to the point I made through satire? There hasn't been one! But there have been several comments about the fact that I made the point. It is stuff like that that really brings out my sarcasm. I am VERY open to discussion on this stuff. I very much want to understand the concept of Christianity better. Unfortunately, most Christians are very preachy until they start getting asked the hard questions, at which point they shut off the explanations and turn on the hostility. People who are secure in knowing what they are talking about don't do that.

I agree with Neruo. Dark humor is absolutely hilarious. It doesn't have to be taken seriously. It is about playing around with twisted thoughts and not necessarily agreeing with them. I used to do volunteer work for retarded children. I did care about them, and I wish I could have cured their problem. I really do. However, I still love this joke...
