HaHa! He is not the second coming of Christ! He is the Maitreya! Or maybe he is the second coming of Christ! But it is not like anybody can save us except for ourselves. You see, it is up to each one of us individually, because we have freewill. And save us from what? Ourselves? How can a savior save us from ourselves?
Unless....
It happens on the inner planes, the power of Palden Dorje's enlightenment tips the scales and brings the collective frequency of awareness to the critical mass where his fire ignites the whole forest of souls and we all burn up with enlightenment and our planet shines like a star.
I had a dream about him, or part of the dream was about him, in my dream journal where I have a vision of him and discuss the vision with a sorceress. But in the vision he is a giant swan that flies from the Dharmadatu and lands as a Nirmanakaya in the lake of this Universe. And there he sits on top of the water, like a swan, but atop a lotus, meditating and unfolding, blooming like a lotus beneath the sun, a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, as is his destiny.
Of course I don't believe in all this Christian stuff, but maybe in an esoteric metaphoric way I do. But whatever the case, Palden Dorje is the real deal, whatever that deal is... he is an authentic mystery. He makes no claims, avoids publicity and attention, etc. He is not a huckster or a con-man. He is not a fraud. He already has brought peace to Nepal and prosperity to all who follow him, just by him sitting there in silence. I am not really impressed by 'miracles'. To me, love is the only miracle there is. And Palden Dorje has demonstrated that miracle of love more so than the miracle of not eating or drinking or sitting naked in fire and not being burnt. His plea to stop animal sacrifice touched my heart. His speech where he kindly asked people to follow a righteous life and to leave him alone and not disturb his meditation touched my heart. He asked that nobody go to visit him. He said that all that he will do will become apparent in the near future, but for now he has to fulfill his commitment of 6 years of meditation, which will end in 2012. I support him.
I really believe though that I can only become enlightened by my own efforts. So what role does a Buddha play but to teach the dharma? Reality is whatever it is in spite of my beliefs, and I don't cling to my beliefs. According to the Buddha it is practically a sin (well, he just uses the word 'ignorant') to cling to false beliefs and deny empirical evidence. The evidence I see is that he is real. All I know is that Palden Dorje inspires me and gives me hope.
