You not only spell "God" with a lower case "g," but you also add an "E" to "B.C.," and replace the word "Christ" with an "x." Yet, when asked to name the planets you have no problem with spouting out the appropriate list of Roman Gods. Heck, you'll even spell them with capital letters! Not only that, you can even spell and pronounce the name of the 800-mile-diameter Trans-Neptunian Object 'Quaoar', and are delighted that it comes from the creation mythology of the Tongva people (aka the San Gabrielino Native Americans).[/b]
LMAO

Seriously though. I don't think any of the points I read applied to me, but that's mostly cause this is all about demanding this and accusing of that. That's not my way of discussing religion (or anything for that matter).

However, if someone to whom those points apply may be a "fundamentalist atheist", then the creators of that page may just be fundamentalist christians...

Thats the way I see religion, I have no idea what is true and what is not, therefore I'm not really an atheist or anyother religion for that matter, I'm a philosopher.

Guess what. We have a way to categorze you too!

You're agnostic.
Agnosticism is the belief that we either do not and/or can not know the truth on this subject.

I read some of it, and it is the stupidest bunch of garbage I have come across in a while. Several of the things in the list were to the effect of, "You argue against the existence of God by saying that blah blah blah." Many of those arguments being ridiculed were actually effective arguments. The one about God not being able to create a rock so heavy he can't pick it up is an excellent argument against infinite power. The maker of the list said that the point is illogical because you are putting infinite power against itself, but he does not explain how that disqualifies the argument. The thing about drippy ice cream was another good point against the notion of God's existence. It is totally true that an infinitely powerful, totally good God would not even have minor ice cream problems in his universe. The list made a lot of illogical points and listed a lot of the arguments Christians have never been able to successfully counter. Merely making fun of an argument is not the same as actually countering it.

Keeper, how did you have time to read that list and make a post about it? If you have time to do things like that, please answer my questions in the science thread. It's December 3 now.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

If you dont follow the Bible, then you arn't Christian. Most of the so-called "christian" inmates were either a) not obaying the Bible, or were converted after they were incacerated

Keeper you are sounding like people do when they are in denial. You twist and twist everything you say, ending up with nothing but the mere thought of you being right. If you keep going like that not a single christian will see you as one.

Rather say: 'Fuck it, I believe the bible by every word' then make up all those extreme self-discrediting nonsense.

First you say:

'Evolution doesn't exist! Evolution is a lie! Look at all this 'proof' that prooves evolution just can't happen'

Then you say:

'Well... to go from an ark-sises amount of animals to millions of species, I guess evolution did happen.. yeahh..'

Have you even READ the bible? I suggest you do so. Hell is referred to in numerous places. Depending on the translation you use, not directly as "Hell", but it's referred to nontheless. Also, go buy yourself a decent NRSV edition bible, with the books both in the catholic canon that the stupid protestants cut out because they didn't like, and the books in the Russian Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, and other versions that the stupid catholics cut out because they didn't like.

I cut out all the parts of my bible that I didn't like. All I had left was a small scrap that says "THE END" because I thought that was rather hilarious that it ends with the words "THE END".

lol.
Anyway, do any of you have the Jefferson Bible/The Philosophy of Jesus of Nazareth? That'd make a much better holy book, I'd think.

To Keeper--get a life. You STILL haven't pointed out any flaws in evolution. After, what...two, three months?

The bible makes numerous references not only to Sheol, but to the "pit" and other similar references.

And your definition of Sheol is wrong. Go read the Book of Enoch.
