Well no, of course not. I can't think of any reasons other than that it goes against what I personally believe. I don't call personal choices "reasons" because I can't justify them anymore than that.

Like I said, just personal ones that I have. No real reasons.

      P.S - It's about 5 minutes to 4AM, and I'm going to bed. I'll reply tomorrow.

Free-thinking isn't limited by what or what you don't believe in. I believe in God and Jesus, and I'm a Christian (I don't consider myself a Catholic, though), and I believe in many things, regardless of whatever the "limitations" the Church has (I mean the Catholic church). Abortion? I don't care about it. Gay Marriage? Wrong. Living by the Bible? Don't care.

If I believe everything the church told me, I'd say Abortion is a horrible sin, Gay Marriage is a horrible sin, and Living by the Bible is the only way to live life.

Too bad I said all of my beliefs aren't influenced by Christianity...

If you would please read the last sentence, I said that "If I believed everything the Church told me, then I would be saying that Abortion, and being Gay are both horrible sins, and living by what the Bible says is the absolute only way to live."

What I said above that is just an answer about what I personally believes of the subjects. It's not influenced by the church, because guess what? I rarely ever go to church, and I haven't even gotten past page 10 of the Bible because I got bored while reading it. I do go to CCD (not my choice, my parents signed me up when they got married, along with my sister), and I absolutely hate it. I'm just going along waiting for my Confirmation next year, and I'm done.

'If' is a very hard word. I am just at 'the' and 'a' at the moment.

In other words: sorry, I misread your post. But if you aren't a Christian fundamentalist, where is the last page of the topic about?

I believe that you are a hack and that your posting privileges should be immediately stripped. There is no reason, it's just goes against my personal beliefs to think otherwise.

Where does maturity enter into this? Hes right you know. Even if you would only make the choice if you had to, you should still have a better reason for that choice then "Just 'cause." The question still stands, what is so wrong about it? A personal belief or opinion, you should have a reason to back it up.

I don't have a reason. It's a belief, set into my mind. I don't care whether they can control it or not, I don't believe it's right. End of story.

I've gone to a Catholic school for all of my school 'career'.
If you want to learn about Christianity or me immersed in it, You will not find it in a Catholic school. they are two completely different interpretations of the same book.
I was raised in a Christian household and told to go to Catholic School so that i would "at least get some religion in my teaching". Absurd eh?

Maybe they should have sent me to a monistary instead, i would probably have learned a lot more about myself and the world.

I would suggest reading the Bible for your own Objective reasons. If you want to see the two-faced, 'do what i say and not what i do' mentality then go to Catholic school. It may be a good place to raise serious questions and get very dumbed down answers.

When i went to highschool (catholic of course) I would hang out with my 'catholic' friends in the morning before mass. We would smoke, talk about the last violent and obscene movie we just saw, and usually every second word was 'fuck, or 'shit' ...Ya know, real high school stuff.
But heres the fun part. As soon as we entered that Mass for 45 min to an hour...just watch the faces go holier and more solemn than Baby Jesus himself.
There was this pretty cute girl who was a grade younger than me..she was grade 11 and i was grade 12. Anyhow, she dyed her hair pink and was real horrorshow. One mass i turned to my friend who i ususally would talk about everything under the sun with and askes "so do you think the carpet matches?"
Of course, the mouth drops and the eyes widen at such a question..."MAN, don't you know we're in Mass!!??"

Maybe this will shed a bit of light on the hypocricity of Catholicism as i saw it in highschool. Catholics are only Catholic at Mass, Good Friday, Easter, and Christmas ...the rest of the time they're just good ol fashioned heathons with their guaranteed one way magic express ticket to that great Promise after they die.

In that case, my post shifts from a sarcastic jab for making a point into a blunt insult. I'll go ahead and remove the smiley.
