NAMASTE
I try to meditate a half hour each day - don't always do it, but I try. I'm not terribly adept at it, and I haven't had any of the profound experiences I often read of others having while meditating, but I do enjoy it. |

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
I meditate almost every day. I, like PJ, focus on my breath moatly, and sometimes i focus on a small candle in an effort to completely quiet my inner voice. I also do some guided meditations, and have recently gotten a few CD's with meditations on them. |

I tryed to meditate by lying down on my bed and facing the ceiling belly uup and closeing my eyes. Then i would try to control my breathing but i fell asleep, that was just the other day. i did it for the first time because i heard if you can control your mind while consious you can control while sleeping. Clear to say that i fell asleep and the meditating did not work for me. Maybe next time i won't meditate in such a comfortable posistion. |

I use vipassana, as in I watch my breath. I observe it going in and coming back letting me relax to a state where I become aware of my subconscious thoughts as well as my conscious ones, it feels a little bit like a whirlwind clutter of songs, images and things I heard people say. As I let that settle it eventually starts to get harder to keep the concentration up so I give up until next time. |
