Someoen in onother thread pointed out the story of jesus is rather pagan. You know pagans would sacrifice ppl to an angry and demanding god to appease him. Jesus was like a human sacrifice in the pagan sense wasn't he? He had to die to appease the angry god in the sky who would kill everyone if he didn't get his sacrifice (jesus)

Anyway. I believe Christianity was initailly very connected to paganism, since it derived influences from those, with the roman expansion and all. Only later would they see such things as pagan and abolish them. Which is natural among most mainstream religions. Still I cannot see a connection between people ritualistically gathering around poles, which symbolise steadiness and highness.

I say don't correct people for their typos, only when they clearly show not to know a grammar rule, which is another thing. It is mean and may offend them. Especially when done consecutively.

We are currently in the age of Pisces, that started with Jesus's century of birth, and we are now transitioning to the age of Aquarius.

Judeo-christian religion has much more paganism at its roots than most people know. Look up Jordan Maxwell on the old testament. Also, an interesting note is the development of humanity through the different zodiac signs. The cross really represents the turning of the equinoxes and solstices. Funny when you think about it really. It all goes back to cosmos worship, which is where a lot of non-religious people are at now. Different names for the same things.

I guess people just have that concept that christianity is holy and right and that paganism is wrong and... pagan (see how even the word has a bad connotation nowadays).

That said, let's not forget both are friggin religions, and as so have more similarities than differences.
