I am just curious about this, and sorry if a ton of people have already asked this before me. What is the Christian view on dinosaurs? Do they believe dinosaurs never existed, or do they believe they did but not evolution? |

Alright thanks. I was just wondering about that because I just don't understand how Christians wouldn't believe in them. Aside from all of the evidence that they did exist, there are discovery specials on dinosaurs all the time. Who doesn't trust the discovery channel? I think if there really is a god it would be the discovery channel. |

You are dreaming right now.
There are many types of Christians. In reality it is only the church leaders, etc which don't believe in it. Catholic canon law approved evolution (they are more secular). The bible itself says nothing about dinosaurs.. I believe you should read the bible, and not let anybody else try to interpret it for you. The bible never said be in a certain Christian denomination. |

Dinosaurs escaped from God's Terrarium, just beyond the butterfly exhibit and next to the petting zoo in Garden of Eden Family Park and Artisan Jellies. God let them romp around a bit, then The Lord called them to His side, that He might pair them off for tournament fighting. And He looked upon it, and saw that it was hella sweet. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
yes, I have heard that the dinosaurs were on the ark with Moses |

Quite a few Christians accept evolution as fact and don't believe the seven day creation theory as being literal. So basically they could believe the dinosaurs died out long before humans. Even if you don't believe in evolution you can still believe god created and removed many organisms over hundreds of millions of years until he created a sentient being( humans). I suppose if God were outside of time it wasn't exactly as if he watched for millions of years then created man, outside of time is just.. hard to think about.. |

Lugggs and cuddles and hugs for all!!
there was no hebrew word for dinosaurs at the time. |

I should be floating, but I'm weighted by thinking
I agree with the rest of what you said, but I need to talk about the behemoth reference you are talking about. many scholars do say it is either a elephant or a hippo. but it does describe the beast's tail as being as big as a ceder tree. both of those animals have very small tails. I guess that is what leaves it open to being a dinosaur. |

No, it was actually referring to the shape of the animals' penis in that verse. |

Dinosaurs are the devil. |

I have met Christians who accept the theory of evolution to degrees from zero to completely. I have met non-Christians who accept the theory of evolution to degrees from zero to completely. The majority of people I've met accept the broad outlines of the theory of evolution but aren't sure how many of the details we have right. |

hmm i'd say AS biology has helped the Christians in my class start to actually understand what evolution is rather then just the usual " Oh we didn't come from tiny lil fish" or something. However i'd say it's a 50/50 split at my school, the side that don't believe in it are generally the stronger Christians that do actually go to church regularly and also some of the Christian youth worker staff i sometimes see. |
