I couldn't agree more. It's insane how religion can leave people so deluded.

As a Muslim, I think I'm going to become a Sheikh. Then I'll go over to England. And the Muslims there will listen to me because I'm a Sheikh. Then I'll tell them all to stop being such anal retentive assholes, shut the fuck up and stop bitching about trivial issues like this.

It's a picture of a dog, not a dog in your house, dumbasses. At least get to know your fucking religion.

Honestly, the stupidity of my British Muslim brothers and sisters is beginning to piss me off.

Here is my response to these Muslims in a few words:

      "Fuck you"

If you don't like our culture, feel free to fuck right off back to where you originated from. HOW DARE YOU FUCKING IMPOSE YOUR CULTURE ON OURS AND DEMAND WE CHANGE TO ACCOMMODATE YOU. We didn't ask for you to come here, you came to us and asked to settle here. If you don't like it, it's simple: don't come here in the first place.

      Aghhh, this stupid country.

      Fixed for Muslim approval.

Also, they're basically afraid of getting attacked.

I'd like to know how Muslims would feel were I to go to their countries and not adapt to their culture.

      Hint: I would get killed.

If religious extremism gets any more powerful we're basically doomed.

For anyone who is interested, I sent my response directly to the force in question:

      Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to express my support for your advertising campaign
featuring "Rebel", and my concern and disbelief that political
correctness and would-be troublemakers are trumping both common sense
and the beliefs of the majority.

As a proud and concerned citizen, I take offence to people taking
offence to our culture, and attempting - and succeeding - in forcing
      their views upon others.

People can take offence at anything (I could take offence to something
inane as frozen vegetables), and whilst people have (and should enjoy)
this right, the rest of the world should not be forced to accommodate
      their beliefs.

If I took offence to a Muslim belief, I would no doubt be branded
racist, anti-Islamic, guilty of hate-speech, or some such label. Yet
if the situation is reversed, the complete opposite reaction occurs.

By elevating Islamic beliefs (which at most comprise 2.7% of the
population according to the 2001 UK Census) to this level of
importance, it insults and undermines the remaining 97.3% of the
      population.

In a modern democratic society people should be allowed to believe in
what they want, but their views are of equal importance to everyone
else's, and it is time they were finally treated as such.

These double standards have to stop and it is time that this kind of
behaviour which only fosters resentment and hate, is treated equally
      and clamped down upon.

The Daily Mail is one of the most right wing tabloids.....its hard not to get wound up by it but I think its also dangerous...

Its part of a tiny radical minority of Muslims' plan to stir shit up like this. Papers of this persuasion will always add fuel to the fire. I try not to take any attention although I admit it can be hard. This is propaganda. The war isn't only going on in the Middle East!!

I thought religions were supposed to respect the beliefs of others? Just because THEY find dogs 'unclean' doesn't give them ANY right to criticize a stupid little advertisement. The muslim community needs to grow up and stop taking political cartoons and advertisements so seriously and GET A FUCKING LIFE!

I am so sick and tired of hearing about islamic outrages over such childish things, it seems to me that religion is the most immature thing ever conceived by man, religion is tearing the human race apart,

religion makes me wanna vomit, and religion makes people blow themselves up over political cartoons about mohammed, an imaginary god, like any other god, their imaginary.

      Religion = Fail

Really though, this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read in my entire life, period.

I just noticed it was the Daily Mail.

ARRARAAAARRRRAAGH! I loathe the Daily Mail. The pages are not even fit for use as toilet paper, as it would only add to the shit, as opposed to cleaning it.

Seriously though, answer this question.......Why do islamic faith people take things so seriously?

If my religion said robes on peoples heads were unclean, does that give me any right to make them take their robes off their heads? NO

I have my religion, you have yours (well im atheist really but its an ex.)

We should respect each others beliefs, and NOT try to change each others cultures if we disagree.

Also, what the fuck does a puppy on a piece of paper do to harm muslims?

What if a muslim in england ran into a man walking his puppy, would the muslim man kill the puppy just because its unclean?

Also, who the heck thinks its an abomination to consider any living thing unclean? its not theirs or our right to determine wether a living thing is clean or unclean.

All the creatures of this earth are wonderful, from piranahs to crocs, to lizzards, to donkeys, to rabbits...no animal is 'unclean' in my opinion, and anybody who thinks some animals are, are taking their religion wayyyyyy to seriously.

I would think (and this is just a guess), that the Islamic people feel slightly victimised as a people due to the Western world's war on terrorism. They may feel like they're the target, and are just acting defensively.

Yeah, it must be realised that British people love dogs (honestly) so there is a conflict there.

To be honest I don't think that most Muslims would have a problem with this. It would have been nice to see some sort of survey to back up Muslims' supposed disaproval of the advert.

The problem here is exaggeration by the "Daily Mail", as Bluefinger rightly pointed out is basically "toilet paper".

Ahh I see, but is there really an 'outrage' over this ad? Or did the media just blow it out of proportion to make us mad at islamic people furthering the hatred they have for us?

The daily mail makes me so ANGRY when I read it! It's the only paper I read though cos my grandparents always have it at their house, which is probably why they seem so depressed.
