You said you didn't read all the posts so I'm not sure if this was supposed to be directed at me, so I'll just say I agree with you completely and I was not one of those who made the derogatory comments.

It's not directed at anyone specific because I don't really know who is who and who said what. My post was merely a general opinion on the blog. It's hard to answer your question from the original post in this thread which is "Do you guys think I'm out of line?" without knowing which poster you are on the blog.

However, ultimately you are the best person to answer that question for yourself. You know what you said. I suggest you consider whether what you said would have been okay for you to say in a room full of people that included your spouse and Lacy. If the answer is yes then you were probably not out of line. If the answer is no then you probably were

Then according to that line of reasoning I was perfectly in line

And if you were curious about which poster I was just look at my avatar.

I watched a few videos of her on youtube, she is actually pretty good..

      http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=wjQcNU...e=channel_page

As for the whole 'boob' discussion.. why don't all these complainers start a discussion about what she is saying? That way they are just clinging to that topic. Just ignore useless comments, those posters probably wouldn't have anything 'really contributing' to say anyway. That's just the added number that watch, because of her appearance, they wouldn't have otherwise.

It's always easy to complain, they should also act out, what they think is right!

To me the problem seems to be that the feminist-side is reflecting their anger on the wrong people. They are clearly generalizing, not seeing your side of the argument, but throwing you in with sexism in general. It is very hard to argue on that basis.. they would have to first agree to meet on one level without categorizing first. You are in no way out of line.

As to the girl.. after watching a few videos, I think she has a pretty good idea of what she is doing and it should be just taken as that. She seems to be going somewhere.. looks shouldn't matter. Even the good ones..

I agree with this too. Sorry I had to do a second post because I don't know how to do a multiple quote

Thanks photolysis. I'll have to play around with it a bit I think. Just not sure about that "++ quote" button and can't find any instructions on the site.

Funny, I was reading your posts earlier today in the Beyond Dreaming area about shared dreaming and was very impressed. Since I became an atheist a few years ago I have very little time for people who believe in anything supernatural. Using logic to argue with someone religious is like using gasoline to fight fire.

Anyway, Needcatscan, you also put forward a fair, reasonable and rational argument on that other forum but as I always say... It is occasionally possible to charge hell with a bucket of water but against stupidity even the gods strive in vain

      Nice to meet you guys

You're very welcome. Always happy to put those years of experience with forum software to good use

(and if anyone wondered how I managed to display BB code without it being formatted by the software - for some bizarre reason if you're curious about things like that! - I used HTML escape characters)

That's very kind of you. Nice choice of metaphor as well.

Likewise and welcome to R/S, or as the religious people call it, the atheist forums

Well, I just posted in that forum as well and it won't take even quarter of a brain to work out which poster I am lol! The whole thread made me so so sad for some reason. Just seeing men and women at war like that. I haven't been able to get it off my mind

She's annoying as hell, how anybody can sit through more than 5 seconds of any video of hers is a mystery to me.

I think what she was actually talking about was multi quoting several points, as in, clicking the "quote ++" button on every post you want to quote and then clicking the quote button on the last one.

Yeah that's it! Thanks for that. I think I get it now. I just couldn't understand why the button turns red and gets a minus sign. Thanks Xaqaria
