      I can't say it with "absolute certainty" just like I can't say that the Earth is round with "absolute certainty." But, like the "theory" that the Earth is round, there is enough evidence supporting the claim that it is "nearly certain" - certain enough to be considered fact. IMHO.

      I know you may have supplied the evidence you believe shows there is no connection. Could you please repost any such evidence please.

      Well then, it's quite clear that you were here to debate.

      Anyways..I'll still be experimenting with this technique, so far it has proven fruitful. Whether the REMs I experience are mere phenomena and are non-related to the actual REM cycles of sleep is unknown. However, whatever I am doing is working. The truth of the matter is, this is a work in progress, constantly evolving, and the validity of the terms or relation of one thing to another is imho irrelevant. What is important is the goal here of the pursuit of attainment of lucidity.

      If I understood the conversation correctly, I would like to say its really impressive that you noticed the onset of any voluntary or involuntary eye movement and used that as a cue as some sort to enter a dream or lucid. Most people don't recognize any of early signs. I'm one of the few that can have HI's before actually getting sleepy which blows me away everytime it happens and I can't explain it.

      I dropped experimentation of this, and am now going to begin this up again.

      Thanks phoenelai for the aknowledgement and contribution, has there been any luck with this sort of lucid induction method for you? Or anyone?
