      Self Generated Hallucinations experiment

How powerful is the mind? Most of us, if not all of us, are interested in dreaming, but could it be possible to dream...when you're awake?
It probably is, since people have been creating psyballs, and having unexplained visions forever. But the real question is, to what extent? May it be possible to summon objects on command and control them just as you would in a dream, or change your setting? Well, there is only one way to find out.

This experiment may require a strong imagination, possibly a lot of meditation, and time.
Right now, if you look over there, at your wall, and you imagine a coin lying there, you wouldn't actually "see" the coin would you? You would probably just be imagining it. What if you stared at the spot long enough? What if you practiced this kind of thing long term? What if you just ate an enormous bowl of chili? The goal is to find out the answers to these questions, and hopefully it will progress to a more interesting level.

90% if not more of the images we percieve, are constructed by our brain, not seen by our eyes.
What you describe cannot be induced instantaniously by pulling a switch, its the product of how you learned to percieve your environment.

You can induce it by taking (hallucinogenic) drugs a long time, which leaves you in a dissociated world, that does not resemble the way you percieve it.

Hallucinations are not the same as a delerium, hallucinations do not create entities to talk to and interact with (except for dmt and possibly salvia). hallucinations make you see the same world, percieved slightly different.

A delerium however, resembles dreams the best.. you are not aware that you've taken drugs, you interact with entities that are not there in situations that do not resemble the real environment... inducing a delerium is very dangerous though.

basicly what you want to achieve , can only be done with accumulative dissociative experiences.

I've wanted to achive this to. The pituitary gland produces DMT when we dream, if only you could get it to do that in waking life!

      proof it!

there has been no research confirming the production of dmt by our pineal gland. There is only the original 'reseach' which is nothing more then an assumption that the pineal gland thearetically would be able to convert stuff into dmt.

There has been done no research about
      -dmt in our pineal gland
-dmt having a center roll in why we dream
      -dmt on birth / death

      It's all assumptions..no peer reviewed articles......at all.

Once my subconscious was very strongly focussed on a girl i liked. In the middle of a conversation with a friend, i literally saw this girl appear in front of me for about a second, then the image faded as if i'd looked at something and then turned away. It's never happened to me again, but this seems to be what you're asking about.
Ps. i've never taken any hallucinogenic drugs.

If I meditate long enough (ten minutes will suffice), I can find myself in a setting. Last night I was at a futuristic tavern, with a touchscreen table where I could play poker merely by touching the virtual cards. Wherever people's footsteps landed on the black floor, neon ripples would radiate. Outside the tavern, through a large window, was a rustic street with children bicycling in circles around a fire hydrant... I was also chatting with someone, but I can't remember what was said (odd, because I remember dream conversations with great clarity). It takes concentration to be able to hold the scene in the mind's eye without it flickering out of your vision, no more than a fleet butterfly. The hardest part is moving without actually moving.

Due to the concentration involved (and the shallowness if the right concentration and imagination is not obtained), they're pretty much inferior to dreams.

Also, this is almost impossible to accomplish when your eyes are open, because you constantly must convince yourself.
