90% if not more of the images we percieve, are constructed by our brain, not seen by our eyes.
What you describe cannot be induced instantaniously by pulling a switch, its the product of how you learned to percieve your environment.
You can induce it by taking (hallucinogenic) drugs a long time, which leaves you in a dissociated world, that does not resemble the way you percieve it.
Hallucinations are not the same as a delerium, hallucinations do not create entities to talk to and interact with (except for dmt and possibly salvia). hallucinations make you see the same world, percieved slightly different.
A delerium however, resembles dreams the best.. you are not aware that you've taken drugs, you interact with entities that are not there in situations that do not resemble the real environment... inducing a delerium is very dangerous though.
basicly what you want to achieve , can only be done with accumulative dissociative experiences.
