I recently read someone's dream journal where they helped to heal their sprained ankle from a lucid dream. I forgot who it was, sorry.
I want to experiment with healing oneself from inside a lucid dream.
If you would like to experiment with me, I think the easiest thing to do is to try and relieve muscle tension, which we all have. I have a hypothesis, that with a strong enough mind, we can relax our muscles voluntarily. My idea is to try and bypass the deliberate conscious action of relaxing voluntary muscles by doing it through the subconscious.
So, if you would like to be part of this experiment, please dream of receiving the most amazing, sensual, relaxing full-body massage ever. The more people do this and the more dream massages each person receives, the more accurate the data will be. You do not have to be lucid, as long as you receive a full body massage in a dream.
I hope people who have strong tactile sense in dreams will volunteer. It will also be great for people who don't have a strong tactile sense in dreams to volunteer, for variety.
Firstly, before you sleep, please feel your back, neck, and the the rest of your body. Feel where you have tension. Please fill this out before going to sleep:
1) On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your level of muscle tension? 1 being indiscernible, and 10 being very painful
2) What drugs, if any, have you taken in the past 24 hours?
3) What supplements if any, have you taken in the past 24 hours?
4) On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your level of emotional tension? 1 being serene, 10, being very anxious
5) What kind of exercise if any, have you done today?
6) On a scale of 1 to 10, when you usually wake up how refreshed do you feel? 1 being totally refreshed, 10 being you felt like you didn't sleep
7) How advanced of a lucid dreamer are you? 1 being having one or two lucid dreams, 10 being able to lucid dream every night, with high control, clarity, and lucidity
8) Have you ever received a professional massage? Please describe it.
9) Have you ever received a good amateur massage? Please describe it.
10) Are you experiencing any other type of pain or discomfort? Please describe.
11) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your belief that this will work to relieve muscle tension? 1 being highly skeptical, and 10, being almost total belief.
12) How much water did you drink today?
13) How much food did you eat? Does food affect your dreams?
14) On a scale of 1 to 10, How strong is your sense of touch in the dream world? 1 being almost nonexistent, and 10 being as strong as waking life
So, here are some questions to fill out after the dream:
1) What kind of massage did you receive?
2) How long was the dream? real time if you know, if not how long did the dream feel?
3) How did you physically feel in the dream?
4) How did you emotionally feel in the dream?
5) How did you physically feel upon waking?
6) Feel the places where it was tense last night. Please rate your muscle tension on a scale of 1 to 10.
7) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your clarity in the dream.
8) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your lucidity in the dream. (It's fine if it wasn't lucid, as long as you received a massage)
9) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your control in the dream.
10) Please describe the dream and anything else you would like to add. Include any factors you think I may have missed.
I would like to do this experiment throughout the month of September, draw conclusions, and then move on from there.
Please do this at least once during the month.
If you are an advanced LD'er, please do it four times, once a week.
Thank you for reading, and thank you in advance for participating.
