Receiving a Dream Massage to Relieve Tension

I recently read someone's dream journal where they helped to heal their sprained ankle from a lucid dream. I forgot who it was, sorry.

I want to experiment with healing oneself from inside a lucid dream.

If you would like to experiment with me, I think the easiest thing to do is to try and relieve muscle tension, which we all have. I have a hypothesis, that with a strong enough mind, we can relax our muscles voluntarily. My idea is to try and bypass the deliberate conscious action of relaxing voluntary muscles by doing it through the subconscious.

So, if you would like to be part of this experiment, please dream of receiving the most amazing, sensual, relaxing full-body massage ever. The more people do this and the more dream massages each person receives, the more accurate the data will be. You do not have to be lucid, as long as you receive a full body massage in a dream.

I hope people who have strong tactile sense in dreams will volunteer. It will also be great for people who don't have a strong tactile sense in dreams to volunteer, for variety.

Firstly, before you sleep, please feel your back, neck, and the the rest of your body. Feel where you have tension. Please fill this out before going to sleep:

      1) On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your level of muscle tension? 1 being indiscernible, and 10 being very painful

      2) What drugs, if any, have you taken in the past 24 hours?

      3) What supplements if any, have you taken in the past 24 hours?

      4) On a scale of 1 to 10, what is your level of emotional tension? 1 being serene, 10, being very anxious

      5) What kind of exercise if any, have you done today?

      6) On a scale of 1 to 10, when you usually wake up how refreshed do you feel? 1 being totally refreshed, 10 being you felt like you didn't sleep

      7) How advanced of a lucid dreamer are you? 1 being having one or two lucid dreams, 10 being able to lucid dream every night, with high control, clarity, and lucidity

      8) Have you ever received a professional massage? Please describe it.

      9) Have you ever received a good amateur massage? Please describe it.

      10) Are you experiencing any other type of pain or discomfort? Please describe.

      11) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your belief that this will work to relieve muscle tension? 1 being highly skeptical, and 10, being almost total belief.

      12) How much water did you drink today?

      13) How much food did you eat? Does food affect your dreams?

      14) On a scale of 1 to 10, How strong is your sense of touch in the dream world? 1 being almost nonexistent, and 10 being as strong as waking life

So, here are some questions to fill out after the dream:

      1) What kind of massage did you receive?

      2) How long was the dream? real time if you know, if not how long did the dream feel?

      3) How did you physically feel in the dream?

      4) How did you emotionally feel in the dream?

      5) How did you physically feel upon waking?

      6) Feel the places where it was tense last night. Please rate your muscle tension on a scale of 1 to 10.

      7) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your clarity in the dream.

      8) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your lucidity in the dream. (It's fine if it wasn't lucid, as long as you received a massage)

      9) On a scale of 1 to 10, please rate your control in the dream.

      10) Please describe the dream and anything else you would like to add. Include any factors you think I may have missed.

I would like to do this experiment throughout the month of September, draw conclusions, and then move on from there.
Please do this at least once during the month.
If you are an advanced LD'er, please do it four times, once a week.

Thank you for reading, and thank you in advance for participating.

Hmm. No one seems interested in participating in this. Though, there are 19 views at this point.

      Project scrapped.

Im interested. Sadly, I have only had 1 (only partly) lucid dream. I hope I can try this if I have a chance!

Lucid massage is actually on my big dumb list of stuff to do, but I've only had one lucid...I'd love to help, but I'm afraid I'm unable to. Sorry.

Since I posted this, Raven Knight did lucid dream massage on my neck, and it felt a lot better the next day.

Usually when I try to WILD, I try to imagine tactile senses to pull myself into the dream. This usually consists of clapping my hands, running or swimming and grabbing random dream objects. I find that as soon as my dream body comes into contact with a tactile sense, the rest of the dream forms.

Once I was trying to WILD while I was laying on my stomach. I wanted to try something different, so this time I tried to imagine someone mounted over me. (As if they was about to give a massage)
I concentrated on the feeling of someone's thighs against my lower hips and how the weight of the body would feel against mine. Once I fully imagined this I moved onto the next part. I began to imagine someone giving me a massage.
What their hands would feel like rubbing against my back, how they're skin feels against mine and so on. Eventually, It felt like I was actually having a back massage. I got to the point where the tactile senses started to work by themselves, this is when I knew I had entered a dream. I turned my body around and thanked the DC sat on top of me. aha

I know its a bit off topic, but its worth mentioning.

Totally on topic! So, did you feel more relaxed? What did the DC look like?

nomad, when you try to heal yourself, massage or do any body work, do you try to feel your dream body and physical body simultaneously? i wonder if that would increase its effectiveness... this really interests me.

It actually felt great! Afterwards, when I woke, if felt like I'd just had a real back massage. I was completely relaxed and my back felt lovely XD
The DC looked like one of my friends I think deep inside I wanted it to be this particular person and it was.

Well if you take in to consideration the fact that human body can repair itself from injuries and the hypothesis that you could affect the healing through your positive thoughts, I'd say it is quite logical that you could accelerate your natural healing via dreams since you are messing with our sub-conscious there. If you succeed in planting seed of that in your mind, that is.

Worth of testing. How you get trustworthy results, I don't know. At least it feels good in your own head ^^
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.
