EARTH (G News) - nesgirl119, a major character in ancient DV lore, is currently developing a video game about DreamViews. Some may see her as a hero, some may see her as troll, and some may see her as an antagonist of DV. Either way, there's no denying her influence on the site, and she was undoubtedly one of the more colorful characters in the storied history of the site. Now, it's time to hear her perspective, her side of the story. Sources confirm that the game is currently in development. nesgirl released a statement to the press announcing the new game, stating: "I am going to be making a video game that has Lucid Dreaming and Sci-fis in it. That will not be the main idea, but oh well. And Icedawg is going to be the main evil villain in the game (and after putting a virus in my computer, and getting me banned from Bravenet and my cousin banned from Youtube, you're saying I can't do that? And considering your username is not copyrighted, you cannot sue me. d: Of course I can get the last laugh!). Seeker is going to be his henchmen. And several of his followers and my enemies in real life, will be his minions. Just you wait Icedawg, I will be able to fight you after all the misery you have caused me after all these years, and by getting people even on Nsider2 to believe in you." No timetable has been scheduled for the game's released, but it is not expected to be completed in the near future.

I asked where I should post this, and I was told to put it in Entertainment. It covers a variety of topics, so it is a little ambiguous where it should be placed. It's a video game, so it's Entertainment, but it's also about dreaming, so it's General Dream Discussion, but it also includes lucids. The Sci-fis would be considered Beyond Dreaming, and the fact that nesgirl is involved will probably end up making it Senseless Banter. The mods can move it wherever they want, but it's a topic that really could go anywhere.

Concept design began on March 8th, 2011, so I'd imagine that the development has progressed further by now. Subjects close to the story were unavailable for further comment, so I can't say with any knowledge the system for which the game will be. As for why, it seems like the game is being used as a medium of self expression. She seems like she still has anger towards icedawg, Seeker, and possibly the larger DV community, so a video game appears to be her chosen mode to demostrate her inner feelings that she still carries. It's funny reading about the DV of old. nesgirl119 was a member of the site a long time ago and caused quite a commotion, which ultimately led to her being banned. She continued for a time to express anger towards those members of the site responsible for her ban, and many argued over whether or not she was a positive asset to the community. Many years later, members who had been involved in the incident reminisced. A member known as MSG had this to say: "It was the most intense internet argument I've ever seen after she was banned, Splash was using GIANT RED TEXT and EVERYTHING. Scary."

Another part of it was her ...?s and Sci-fis, which were highly controversial. I don't think anyone has figured them out yet, but they sound an awful lot like the stuff WakingNomad talks about. Those kinds of things had almost no precedence or credibility back then, but if she were around now, I bet she would have a lot more support based on all of the anecdotal evidence gathered since her departure. There are just way too many accounts of shared dreaming now to dismiss it, and it looks like she was years ahead of her time. There are tons of people on this site who claim to share dreams all the time, and they're accepted now because it's become a more accepted concept and has been studied more. Back then, she was considered a fringe Beyond Dreaming type, but I think that was mostly because she was the only one talking about it, and it was pretty esoteric. The suicide threats are probably what did her in, though.

Links! the forum is actually set up so that you can take any user profile, and jam the name you're looking for at the end, and be sent to that profile. this makes it incredibly easy to find specific users, if you know their username. also known as; do it yourself. A good journalist never reveals his/her sources, but I'm sure you could find the article pretty easily. Her statement is posted on another website, but I copy/pasted it verbatim, so don't worry about it being inaccurate; that's exactly what she said. Pan, I'm not trying to spread misinformation - sorry if it seems that way. Those are my observations from reading her threads, but you know more than I do (you were a member back then!), so if I'm wrong about something, please correct me.

As far as I remember, though I wasn't involved and cannot speak on the direct cause of the ban, I don't think it was a matter of "oh no we don't believe you, you're confusing us" so much as general immaturity/instability and a complete refusal to be straightforward about her experiences on top of the suicide stuff, to the point where it was becoming detrimental to the forum. If this game thing is for real, then just from reading the description it should be clear she hasn't grown much since then and still has bad blood about the whole thing. The concept in itself is pretty ridiculous, even more so when you consider her anger towards Icedawg and Seeker, who are both perfectly reasonable people.

So it sounds like you maybe did a quick google search of negirl119 and found her live journal. nesgirl119's LD & Sci-fi Journal amirite? Also I joined in 09 and never knew her but from reading enough of what she has said has definitely painted a pretty clear picture that she's lost it. Perhaps if you read more on her livejournal you'd see the same thing, perhaps not. Maybe if you read her blog, or her nsider2 thing you'd also see that. And maybe if you took to the time to go back and read what she's said on here it'd be ultra clear (I haven't done that so I don't know if her stuff is even around). Yet the most interesting thing I find is that someone who never even knew her goes on here to post a thread about her. Are you trying to re spark some of that debate over nesgirl119. Because I think even judging from that quote you published on here it's pretty clear to all of us on DV that she's lost it and still hasn't gotten over DV. That is really the only clear thing, I hope you can see that. Well after all, I'm merely assuming a lot here. If you're wondering why I searched so much of nesgirl119's stuff. Well it's because I got bored and wanted to know if she had an alt on here or something.
