      I'm making the nastiest sauce right now

      OMG it's gonna be sooooo dank-a-licious I can't wait. I'm making spaghetti marinara and I've been sauteing peppers, onions, carrots, mushrooms and garlic on a pan I fried bacon on earlier today. Then I added just a dash of beer before I added the tomato sauce. Next comes the parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. I don't even want noodles, this is dank enough by itself. If only I had some good meatballs.

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

      You should roast diced garlic then sautee it with diced onion (and optionally diced chilli) for a few moments then add chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and a few dashes of lemon juice and keep frying until the onions caramelize. Then add minced beef (or minced quorn or eggplant if vegetarian) and fry until the mince turns brown. Then add either beef stock (or vegetable - if going with the veggie option or if you want a nice twist to the beef mince) and add a little cornflour dissolved in warm water if you want the sauce thick. Then simmer the whole thing until ready. Once it's done - season to taste.

      Extra tip, if you add some butter at the end of frying the beef mince, not a lot, just a little bit - even if it's cheap beef you've used it should make it taste good.

      Still, I like your recipe Omnis, it sounds really funky. I think I'll try it except I'll turn it into its veggie version. Thanks.

      1.) - BEER?? You're my new God.

      2.) - I'm old. I'm 32. What is "dank" please?

      3.) - Use scallions instead of regular onions. I discovered scallions two weeks ago and they've been blowing my mindhole ever since.

      4.) - Throw a shitload of fresh, chopped up basil on top of everything when you're just about to eat. Yum.

      5.) - Make an olive tapenade and throw a big glob of it all over everything also.

      6.) - My tapenade - throw olives (I used pitted kalamata), capers, marinated artichoke, garlic maybe, olive oil..into a food processor. Process for like, 2 seconds.

      Mmmmm scallions you're a genius Kichu. :9------ Oooh! Why not try red onions! They're delicious and add a bit of color too. Add some basil or coriander too. ;D

      to O, carrots are so mild you can add them to any mix as long as they soften up.

      Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

      Mmmm... carrots :9--- Haha! I'd spice them before adding them to the sauce.

      You could try julienned bamboo shoots - while pretty bland they do add much needed crunch
