Introspective Emo: Hours of deep thought about his own mind, life, the world and existence in general, while staying in bed all day doing nothing, feeds the source of his Emo Ranger power coin. [/b]

Em kids are the teenagers who are depressed for no good reason, they stay at home, write BAD poetry and try and be 'hardcore outsiders'.

Oh they're ever so fun to annoy.

The typical emo quote is "Oh, ou're just like my ex girlfiriend from5 years ago, she shattered my heart into shards, broken forever *slit writs* *slit* *slit* *slit* "

ha ha...that's too funny...i didn't have to try to be a hardcore outsider, i was one!! And i wrote bad poetry...
Never tried killing myself though, it never got that bad...baddest it got was lying on my bed for days on end, not talking to anyone...oh yeah, and considering running away, but i never did...because my father would always happen to be cooking roast potatoes, and i can never resist a roast potato.

Kids today eh? Whatever happend to those nice picket fences and red roses....

Its strange how people want to distance themselves from society by becoming ‘different’. That sense of difference is what drives their lives (anything outside of that 'difference' is forbidden). The strange things these groups don’t realise is that by becoming different they become the norm. They are conforming to a stereotypical image that was created to immobilise their personality and intelligence.

Its like I used to listen to Heavy Metal Music but wouldn’t have classified myself as a “Goth” (its just another label to me). I remember the strange look you get because you go to a metal concert and you don’t conform to an image “hey he’s not wearing black (everyone gasp and talk)”.

I remember reading something George Romero once said in an interview about teenagers finding comfort and that sense of belonging from being in a social group....

I used to be depressed as a child but like irishcream said:-

i didn't have to try to be a hardcore outsider, i was one[/b]
It used to be different then.......This comment sums it up perfectly for me, depression wasn’t the style it is now, its hip and cool to be depressed and self-conscious (I guess it relates to today’s repressed society).

“hey man I’m strange want to see me cut my writs and bleed?”.

Being an outsider used to have meaning, today its used as an escape and a tool for social confinement.

Long live the PUNKS, thrash the Mods!!!!!!!

Why do people feel a need to be in with whatever is hip or cool. Despite how retarded it may be at the time. Few will admit to being this stupid. Ir must be a hudge misinterpretation about the process of mass trends.

Maybe its good for a laugh for light entertainment.Overall I would not go so far as to buy their DVD. They just come across as wannabes of some kind, Insulting teenagers intelligence and ripping off an old tv show.....
I just hope their music is better.

Oh come on, it's a parody, it's supposed to rip things off and poke fun at them. They're not having a go at teenagers, they're just having a laugh at the ones who pretend to be depressed, come on, we all know someone like that.

Considering it's fillmed with a crappy camcorder and with a filming budget of £100, I'd sat it's shapping up pretting well, also a lovely touch is I grew up in all the locations in the film, so I guess it just means somthing to me seeing Bubba G's crushed in that trailer, which I thought was extreemly cool for reasons I can't be bothered to get into.

ALRIGHT. Who is responsible for the ruining of the original song?
Power Rangers beat Emo Rangers anyday.
Even though the other day I had a dream that I was a bowl of pasta turned Pasta Ranger via the radioactive microwave.

Well, you know me, I'm perfectly clean and I still thought it was funny as hell. The sad part is I actually watched Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, which was only a few years ago...

I agree wholeheartedly with this thread.

They didn't think Zapas (Hope I spelt that right) and fannypack were cool, They thought glass, white and all the other Tiger bands with a prefix were cool.

Being as young as I am (13 'an all, ), I shouldn't be right in saying the above statement, but I still remember horror stories about those things. And I can watch Howard the Duck and be Reminded of it.

I have never been a fool for the latest Trend. I don't think Emos are cool, they ARE just a bunch of little Prancibald B****** children of Punk and Goth. And I also hate how they say "There's alot more to us than that.". The truth is, there isn't much behind any fad.

You can clearly see that I do not like EMO , being that I'm one of the last few kids who haven't gone into said group yet in my school. If there is one thing I cannot stand, it's being singled out for NOT being a whiney lil' , black clothes wearing, skunk haired bugger.

My brother wants to start up a spoof emo band called "Tuesdays Make Me Cry". Here are some lyrics:

      (whines)I'm intoxicated with love
(screams)In this fucked up world I call my own

It's a healthy process to rebel against everything that came before.
