Just wondering if anyone else does. Right now I just feel empty and numb... don't know what to do I'm so sick of where I am in my life right now. I want to be free. I've decided to excel myself at school from now on. I do well, but I don't even try. I will get all the necessary qualifications. I will achieve my dreams. This is an absolute fact, some people look at dreams as something just out of their reach but I am utterly resolute. People sneer at my dreams but I just shrug it off. I just want to get out of this stage of my life now. When I'm at school I have friends but they're not people I can be myself with I find their conversation absolutely unstimulating. oh well I'll just stick with it for now... I have to. Sorry just needed to vent some stuff

Yeah man, I feel that way a lot.

My family life is... we'll just say not too stellar. So I go to school, rock out without effort, hide in football, orchestra, journalism... Surround myself with the people that make me feel just a little bit better and make it so I don't even have time to think about the shit that gets to me. Which doesn't always work, but hey its better than I would be. I can't wait for senior year to end so I can get outta the situation I'm stuck in, meet some people who don't expect me to be someone I'm not, and relax and finally be happy.

Keep goin man. Even when I get down, I know someday it'll be better.

yes, i know. it sucks. but hey, we're alive right?

don't take your dreams too literally is all I can say as far as advice. There is always chaos in life that will change your course. The future is mostly unpredicatable so you'll have to take things as they come to you rather than follow a single plan.

Yeah, I hate pretty much everything about my life as it is right now - dull, pointless, and stressful. A few of the longest months of life are yet to come before I am released from school. It's like waiting for a jail sentence to end. As the guy in football factory said, "I live for the weekend".

I hear ya Josh...going through that myself, so unfortunately it's not only for teenagers.

I find when I get into one of these numb, depressing ruts, I try to focus on something that's equally fun and constructive. For example, today I drew a girl with a giant hole in the middle of her stomach. It made me feel a little better anyway.

As far as more long term solutions, I think once you get into a satisfying routine, those feelings will disappear. It's when we're bouncing around without any particular purpose that we feel sucky.

      Something like that.

I should follow my own fucking advice.

      Lol

Seriously though I know what you mean, I get the whole emptiness and dullness, I think its because I'm growing up and gaining all this responsibility that I don't want .

Thanks people, I have made myself feel better by thinking about what my future holds for me! Unfortunately that may not work for most people. Thanks...
