Thread: Who has snow?

North-western suburb of Detroit - coming down so hard here it looks like a dense fog. About six or seven inches so far as I can tell - and I'm about to head out into it. It has been accompanied by thunder and lightning!!!

Supposed to keep coming another 12 hours or so.

No snow, just icy windscreens and slippery roads.

Northern England has failed me this year.

I just remembered we were supposed to have a snow storm last night. Let me look out the window...

Around here we got the ice and rain from the nor-easter...hardly any snow..it's like a layer of caked slipperyness on all the roads and everything..no fun.

PJ, i'm coming up to play in those loads of snow...

Considering I live about 45 minutes away from pj, we're getting the same as him. And it's still coming down as I type!

Northeast TN, has begun spitting a little show in the last hour. We are on the extreme southern edge of the strom so we are mostly getting killer winds. Forcast is for 1-3 inches.

Here in central PA we were off school on thursday because of that storm and we got a little snow last night but right now its all freezing rain but its supposed to change back to snow sometime.

On thursday I made a Jordan Rudess snowman playing a snow Continuum but the rain is melting it away.

Mucho mucho snow 'round these parts.

Of course, this is Canada. What did you expect?

It has been pouring down here a lot lately up in Pocatello, ID - today is clear of any overcast though.

Seriously, this Thursday it snowed a meager 7-9 inches of snow. Not bad, right? The only problem was that every human being in the CT-RI-MA area left work/school AT THE SAME TIME.

I don't know if any of you heard this on the news, but the streets were literally like parking lots. No one was moving. People were running out of gas on the highways, cars breaking down, some people got so angry that they just abandoned vehicles on roads, exacerbating the problem.

It took my dad 9 hours to get from Boston to North Kingstown, and some poor Providence School students got stuck on buses for over TEN HOURS!!!

Worst traffic conditions since the blizzard of '78.

At least I can juggle it! (My first winter that I know how to juggle during)

Heh, you should have seen the snowstorm of '98 up here. People thought there would be floodings when it finally melted. I'm not kidding you, knee-high snow! Of course I was probably a foot shorter then.

Knee high? Is that a lot where you live? Last year we got 2 feet in just 2 days. Theres even a wikipedia entry about it.

Yeah, that was alot for us. And we got the soft side of that storm. There were powerlines snapping and treebranches falling in other places that got hit by the same storm.
And it hasn't stopped snowing. Please, if you don't have any snow, you're free to have mine.

Here's the view out my college window. Err just noticed it took the pic in black and white. Ah well, kinda nice that way I guess. Most of the snow we had has actually melted, so you can imagine how bad it was!

Yeah here in vermont fortunately we still have some snow, I really really hope it keeps up. But it probably won't.
