Thread: When did you find out about the birds and the bees?

I was in year 5 when I found out, about 10 I guess?

I'm not really fussed about "the talk" with my parents. It's not really that embarrassing in my house.

i found out in 3rd grade. My dad was a pussy and made my mom tell me about it

Lol for some reason, I'd find it extraordinarily uncomfortable if my mom were to tell me about it. I'd much rather of preferred my dad I remember when my cousin first found out about it in junior high...he was all psyched up about it and said his mom (my aunt) was going to buy him a pack of condoms to try on...I found that kind of odd.

i can imagine how that conversation went.

One of my classmates told me when I was in 4th grade... But I didn't know that's how women got pregnant. I thought she meant it was just something silly that couples do, like making goo-goo eyes at each other.

I didn't grasp that people did it for pleasure or for reproduction until I was a teenager. Up until that point, I thought women had babies out the rear, though I didn't really think much about how they got there in the first place.

I did hear people use the phrase "sleep with" when talking about getting women pregnant, but all I pulled from that was that a man and a woman sleep in the same bed for a while, and the woman gets pregnant.

I heard about it in school at around 4th grade, in a very oh-get-over-it controversy. I was the only one not grossed out when I saw the image of a vagina.

This pretty accurately describes my pre-history of thoughts on the pregnancy stuff.
