      Obama atheist

Seriously, when I look at the guy I don't really buy into him being a believing Christian. Just from the way he talks, he presents himself in too smart a manner to have religious faith. Clinton has peas for brains and she is Christan - no deal. GOP needs no further comments, so I believe that Obama must be a closet atheist.

      Thoughts?

I posted it here on purpose. Since there is no hard evidence for my claim, this is the only acceptable location for this discussion.

I thought he was Muslim... right?

You don't need brains to be Christian.

I sure hope this is sarcasm.

At the moment, Obama is supposedly Muslim-turned-Christian. It's doubtful whether or not he's lying about being Christian. I have some Christian friends who don't believe him at all.

It is believed that a huge number of the US population, including people in office, are "closet atheists."

Oh... I guess I missed that bit.

      Well, he's lost my vote.

I don't really see why there's doubt that he's Christian if he says he is. Some people think he's a radical Muslim, some people think he's unpatriotic, some people even think he's the Anti-Christ. I don't think he'd be lying just to get votes from the southern states or something like that.

      Or would he?

Either way, I don't think a candidate's religion should affect a person's decision at all.

^^ Ummmm... Were you born yesterday? Politicians are all about lies. In everything. No one would get elected if they told the truth.

Oh and unfortunately, candidates' religions do affect people's decisions, big time. That's probably the one reason they bring it up.

I was being sarcastic. Mostly why I put the "Or would he?" there. XD

Yeah but I don't think it should affect someone's decision even though it does most of the time.

i've been watching the US presidential candidates, as i want to get to know whose ass our country is going to have to kiss, again.

I think Obama may be Agnostic/Atheist. Most candidates seem to rely heavily on religion in their public rallies and speeches, Obama doesn't mention it much, he sometimes closes with a God bless you or such, but no where near like the others. Since an Atheist would probably not get many votes at all, he would have to hide his lack of faith.

How is he a Muslim? If he were i doubt he'd admit it, i mean it's the same as being Atheist, it loses you a lot of support from many Americans. Atheist probably worse usually. To me it makes to difference, as long as they don't use religion to interfere in politics. An example being that the British government is probably going to bend over and introduce Sharia law into the UK.

I was wondering why she has peas for brains. I mean, she has some of the best answers during the debates I've seen.

It's well known that he at least was a Muslim. His father is Muslim and he was brought up in that religion. People are worried about what those Islamic fundamentalists are going to do - after all, if he did convert, that is a very high offense to the religion.

      What are you watching, De?

Obama seems more Atheist now that he's "converted" religions during his debate. I think that's pretty dicky though. Great tactic! He'll get Muslim vote and some Christian vote now. Along with black vote and democrats with enough sense not to vote for Hilary.

Introducing our next president, Mr. Obama!

Some of the debates on CNN. Her answers to some subjects are really clever. I know being clever doesn't automatically make her fit for being president and what not, I'm just saying.

"They're not attacking me because I'm ahead, they're attacking me because I'm a woman."

On the subject of change not coming into America if the same two families "Clinton" and "Bush" keep getting presidency:

"It took a Clinton to clean after the first Bush so it'll take another Clinton to clean up after the second."

I mean, really...I don't think she has "peas for brains." I don't think she'd be this far in the race if she had "peas for brains." I haven't heard her say anything I thought was stupid. I just want to know why she supposedly has these "peas as brains."

^^ Hahahaha that's a hilarious quote about the Bushes and Clintons.

Anyway, quite frankly, I don't think the general public gives a damn whether or not she's a woman. I know I don't. I don't think the fact that she's a woman should even be brought up in debates and whatnot, just like Obama's black-ness shouldn't either. It'd be a sign of a truly equal society, anyway...

Clinton's okay, but she's not the most clever. I saw some disturbing scandal involving her on youtube... something to do with money.

I know this is getting off-topic, but I really hope people aren't voting for her just because she's a woman. And I hope people aren't voting for Obama just because he's not white. But unfortunately, I think that those are mostly the reasons they're in the lead. It's a popularity contest in some ways. Who's more different for America? I mean, I know people want change but change should mean policies and other elements in a candidate's presidency, not gender or race.

You guys know the thing Lennon and Ono (... Ono) did... the "total communication" I think it was called. They got under a bag for a press interview, so nobody could see them. They were saying that they were doing it to make everybody seem equal with no prejudices, so there could be equal conversations.

Maybe they should do that for presidents! Put them in bags and don't give out their names and put them with voice-fucker-uppers so we can't really tell if they're male or female or have a crazy accent. Give them numbers then when we vote just vote for your number.

      A bit too extreme?

Maybe something in the middle ground.

Bwahaha! Well the Lennon and Ono ( Ono) thing was very druggie-hippie, wasn't it?

Well... the government might not be hippie... but they still have the drug aspect. It'll work, I'm sure of it.

"Who are you voting for?" "Well, 2 is looking good but that 5 is starting to get better and better." "What? 3 is the best for sure!"

      .....

A serial killing puppy torturer has a better chance of being elected president of the United States than an admitted atheist.

In Obama's books, he mentions his religion very much. There is absolutely no doubt among political circles that he is a Christian.

Also, relating to the smart people are atheists:
      • If you're joking around, then haha
      • If you're serious, then you are ridiculous
Religion most certainly does not preclude intelligence, as evidenced by intelligent figures from history. That claim is one of the reasons why there is a stereotype of atheists being arrogant and condescending towards people of religion. Not every atheist is condescending. Not every religious person pushes their religion on others. Generalizations like that help no one, and are quite harmful.
