It says that on the seventh day god rested.

It happened like this:
On the sixth day God said "let there be Chuck Norris"
On the seventh day he was in the hospital.

Sorry, a friend said it and I've never heard it before. I thought it was funny.

On the contrary, it is you who is wrong on this point. See, the first word in the Bible referring to "God" is "Elohim", while in other parts later in the Bible, He is referred to as "El". The difference between the two words, in Hebrew, is that "Elohim" is plurar for God and "El" is singular for God. Meaning: That Chuck Norris, alongside Bruce Lee and Optimus Prime, existed before Creation itself with the Demiurge, and proceeded to get Him in the hospital after He made woman.

The Gods are a jealous Gods, as the saying goes, and they didn't like the idea of some guy missing a rib getting not only one smokin hot wife (Eve), but two (Lilith was his first wife, mind you).
